Embarkation Day is always an exciting time, even if you have been on the ship before but it was particularly exciting for our PNG cruise as it was the first time to Papua New Guinea for Ali and a few years since Rob had been.
Join us for Embarkation Day in this video where we take you from our driveway to the end of the first day and everything in between.
You can also find lots more information on our website at www.robandali.net

I was on the Adventure on the Great Barrier Reef Cruise and seen Pacific Encounter pass by us on the 20th June and she was headed to Airlie Beach when we were at Morton Bay ready to leave there to head back down to Sydney

Hi Megam and thanks for dropping by. Lovely to meet you too. We came back to lots of comments and only just managing to catch up so sorry for the delay, we weren't forgetting about you. Hopefully you got home safely. It was a fantastic trip and we would definitely do that one again. The 10 days and the spread of port and sea days was just about right for us. Maybe see you on another cruise.

Fraser, thanks for watching, again and we are following your travels. So jealous of you being able to do so much cruising whilst still working. We are hoping to be able to do the same one day. Anyway, definitely do the PNG trip if you get the chance. We are putting together the videos of the port stops at the moment so please check them out. Hope to actually catch up with you one day. Take care and have fun mate.

Hi Bob and Chris. It is a fantastic trip. We could easily got back again in August if it wasn't the cost and that we have no more leave days from work left. Have a fantastic time. If you're looking to book some tours that aren't through P&O definitely consider Rabaul Cruise Tours (Ellis) and See Alotau with Ben. These guys seem to have pretty much the lion's share of the market, are licenced and have a good connection with a lot of the cruise groups so there is an added degree of assurance that they will look after you and make sure everyone is back on time.

Hi loving your videos, just wondering have you guys done an p&o app tutorial as wondering can you book dinner and add another room to your table as this will save us time lining up when we get on?? And would love to know more about the chat part too how good it works, never seen the queue that long outside before what time did you get on? Heard at rebaul you cant get off unless you have tour as it really dangerous is this true?
@murraycharters6102
@murraycharters6102 Год назад
@sarahmcivor1500. Sarah, I have done this cruise three times. My advice is don’t even bother getting off in Rabaul. The Conflict Island is amazing, and Kiraweina nice too. Alatoe not great either The highlight of this cruise is the Conflict Islands. Paradise.
@robandalicruisetravel
@robandalicruisetravel Год назад
Hi Sarah. OK, you can avoid the queues by working out how to use the App. We are back on the Encounter this weekend and will get Gaby to do a video on the App, or we will do it. As far as Rabaul is concerned, I would not want to walk around by myself but there isn't that much to see walking around anyway. There is plenty to see though on a tour and you should definitely do a tour. Our recommendation, if you don't do one from the ship is to do one with Rabaul Cruise Tours (Ellis). We have a list of tours on the website and they do heaps with the cruise ships so they are really reliable. They don't want to risk the huge amount of business that they get from the recommendations. If you want any further info or assurance PM or email us.

what time do you usually book to get on the ship
@robandalicruisetravel
@robandalicruisetravel 6 месяцев назад
Hi Sharon. It depends what cabin we have. If we have a guarantee we have to wait and see what is left when our cabin is allocated. If we have selected a cabin then we try for the earliest which is usually around 11:30-12:00.

@Kim-ul9to
@Kim-ul9to Год назад
of course it is book with Wilston parking
@sarahmcivor1500
@sarahmcivor1500 Год назад
They only have paid parking near the crusie terminal 3 different prices!! All have a boom gate to get in so yes secure.
@robandalicruisetravel
@robandalicruisetravel Год назад
Hi Trevor. There are 3 parking lots. P1 is closest, sort of covered and costs the most. All the car parks are contained within a secure area that is locked and under security cameras apart from when there are ships in port. It is Wilson's parking and you can book up to 6 months out but it does get full and then you are left looking for airport or other alternatives. Hope this helps.

What a nice day to leave on a cruise. I noticed none of the passengers were wearing masks at the cruise terminal or while boarding. Have the mask mandates been lifted for embarkation and disembarkation? I’m booked on 2 cruises next year so far and have been really hoping they get of the mandatory mask wearing completely.
@sarahmcivor1500
@sarahmcivor1500 Год назад
Start of this year they full lifted it they lifted it we went on a crusie in September last year but had to wear in terminal and it was only recommended on the ship and still is but none wears them at all only some people. No mask at all in March!
@jasongoldie
@jasongoldie Год назад
@@sarahmcivor1500 That is great news. Considering how long it’s been lifted for airports it’s great to hear it’s now been lifted for cruise terminals as well. Thanks for that.
