Your daily positive videos keep me going through the toughest of challenges. I love all of your videos, but this one in particular is a shot of encouragement. I keep replaying it. What a gift to start every day with one of your videos. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Dear Brian : ) I just wanted to say thank you for all the great work that you do. Especially your philosophers notes videos helped me a lot during the last years. I have been struggling with serious health issues, depression and suicidal thoughts. There was a time when I watched your videos every single day to stay positive and motivated. As an animal rights activist I need every bit of optimism there is. Well...I am still alive and fighting. The highest version of myself always finds a way : ) Thanks for everything Brian!
Brian, thank you, your energy is contagious. Really helps motivate me, I am job hunting! I agree about the exercise, just 30 mins a day really helps me!!!! I am looking forward to reading this book.
Thanks for the love, Kim! And may you be successful on the job hunting 🍀 - Team Heroic Get the NEW Heroic App and start Activating your best, TODAY! Try 14 Days free: heroic.us/join
Thanks Brian. the kind of effort a lot of us are in Both mental strength (ex control over stimulus response) along with physical exercise is needed. So I would say, when in doubt push me out navy seal style or "breathe it out" meditation style. 👍
First, understand the Why!! - another awesome breakdown Brian, really appreciate your method and substance - always great to listen to your work! #philosophy #brianjohnson
12.48 You say "if you don't have that ability [to see what would be worth doing] you will be limited dramatically in your ability to optimize and actualize" Do you have a recommended book or video on that topic? On getting in touch with what you genuinely want to pursue? What if there are very many things that seem equally worth doing - or alternatively, nothing that seems like its worth doing if it means not doing all the other things. Perhaps not a lack of dreams, but a lack of clarity on which ones fit together or which is most important?
philosophically though achieving or not achieving the goals are unknowns and effectively inconsequential theres no punishment or reward other than what you inflict on the self. not disagreeing with the video but someone like myself , though theres naturally things i'd like to do and others have said i suffer from "give a damn" theres not a particular thing i want i.e fame , wealth , business thing all i want is security and the ability to provide at the minimum for myself. soo these guru bits apply to certain niche individuals.
Thank you for the insights, Brian. I'm thinking (and hopefully come to a decision) of starting a Personal Development blog. Aside from your website, can you recommend a good place to interact with same-minds (e.g. support group)? Thanks in advance.
