Very glad you rate this book so highly as I really believe its a fantastic resource and starting point for Stoicism. The format is excellent as well - a book you can dip in and out of, go back to again or read a page a day, its really up to you how you use it. "Big' ideas are the only ones worth having and 'big' virtue/efforts are the only ones to have when you are sixty-eight years old. There is not time to waste. Time is sacred. I start a senior theatre company five times already, the fifth workshop starts tomorrow night. This is the highest goal of achievement I can set for myself- right now in my life. I get back up...I've been getting back up for a long time. Now with two strong irons in the fire. And there's been so much shit and trauma in many years of life fraught, that the peace I have now surpasses all joy. "No one, not even the rain, has such small hands" -e e cumings Stoicism, if you have the neurons and chemistry, you find stoicism in old age---actually, I found it first on my own, and then put a name to it...I believe. Just bought the book on Ebay, under $4.00 buying the words of the wise so painlessly, plus free shipping!
