Great video mate - no nonsense, stress-free mechanics with good narration and no added hype like fancy video edit cuts, camera waving and shaking around or stupid added in music, like so many of them these days. Only regret I have is that I wish yours was a VE V8. You don't know how lucky you are having a dipstick! Incredibly, mine's sealed, so it makes it much more difficult and expensive to service (if you decide to buy the tools to get the oil into the trans after draining). Why they would want to give customers a 'sealed for life' automatic in a performance car with a powerful engine is completely beyond me. I hope you can do a video on a VE L98 6 speed auto service soon.
Had 2007 Calais with a L98 v8 and 6 speed clunky tranny. Great car to drive when it was going . Never ending error codes etc . Sold it after 3 years it was sending me broke. Great video keep up the great work.
My Suzuki swift CVT transmission type I have fault code tranny P1811 excessive clutch slippage P1722 neutral control circuit 2 malfunction P1822 abs not active What i have to do Can you help me to solve what is the issue or problem? I have slippage tranny
When you drive it would it vibrate the car round a certain speed? My ve omega is having problems that sound like the torque converter but having the code - U0100/P0700 when I get to bout 48km it will go forward a gear then start vibrating from somwhere feels kinda like the transmission and have to accelerate to bout 63km before I can just cruise with it doing it and I have replaced transmission already but hasn’t fixed the codes nor vibrating problem and wondering could it be similar to what u have experienced with ur car
Mmmm sounds more like the trans control unit issue. The vibration could be completely unrelated. Locate the tcu disconnect battery than disconnect tcu and clean connections on the unit and plug first. Good luck.
@@petersbackyardbuilds alright great I’ll find someone to have a look at that and do that atm I’m waiting on getting another auto because the one that was put in recently to try fix the codes was meant to be from an 08 omega but I thought now to get one from an 07 omega with the exact trans codes that will be for the auto it would have came with from factory and the build year model and also see how that goes but in the mean time will get someone to look at the tcm plugs and clean them if need be but thanks for the reply and advice I highly appreciate it
@@cheekyfirey ok I was thinking about the donut rubber thing if it has one lol have been wondering if it’s there could it be damaged but am going to get this communication fault fixed then see how she drives if it’s still there then I’ll check the donut rubber for sure but thanks for the advice
