Have to say though. As long as you don't run VPN, ANTIVIRUS, animated background and non stop Bluetooth, this device is a beast. It'll hold up. The 33w charger is filling it up in no time - I guess that's why the price does not go down?

For the plastic panel cover housing the motherboard, there is a cable labeled "DM F0595 DG A 2021 20" (at around 1:02 in the video). Would a sever in this cable affect my phone turning on/off or cause screen artifacts/glitches? Or better yet, would the phone be able to start without this panel? Thank you!
thanks for this. Would you know how important the secondary microphone is? Sometimes I call the family's Poco F3 from my own phone and get a screeching sound in my ear which I presume is coming from the F3. I hang up and call again and it's gone. I'm wondering if I should replace that microphone/charging board on the F3? Also, should I replace the battery (sometimes online batteries are not great) at the same time? Xiaomi replaced the main board twice under warranty (new IMEI numbers) at 18 months old and the battery but the battery soon began to discharge and charge very quickly. Any feedback welcome. cheers.
Was the phone newly purchased & dissembled? The dried thermal paste seems like it was used for multiple months 😱 Regardless, thank you so much for making a walkthrough of dissembling the phone itself!
Hi, yes I buy them new and take them apart. I don't use them before the teardown. I have noticed on some phones the type of thermal paste they use is very dry or dries out easily. You're welcome :)

Hi, enjoyed your video. Mine has a cracked back but importantly, it charges up in 10 minutes but discharges much too fast for a 10 month old battery. Do you think just changing that charge port component will sort it out or is the charge function part of the main board capability? Hope you can respond. Thx Xiaomi replaced the main board twice on this, and the battery the second time, but now it's out of warranty.😢
If the cable connector is the same and the size and fit of the camera would fit in the allowed space, it might work but not sure about any software issues reading the camera etc.
@@PBKreviews Yeah that wud not work with the stock MiUI. U wud need the Boot loader Unlocked and probably might have to fiddle with Custom ROMS to get it working, But yes the ribbon connectors are the same, itll probably fit, but the Serial Numbers of the parts are a mess.
Do you think the 108mp camera on the redmi k40 pro plus is interchangeable? The poco F3 is the same phone as the k40....the only change the pro has is it has the snapdragon 888 instead of the 870 while the pro plus goes further and includes the 108mp camera instead of the 48mp
If the camera size, location/length of cable and connector type is the same, there is a chance it might work but there is always also a chance of running into software issues.

Are you referring to the phone moving around or the camera shaking? if the phone, then the reason I don't use anything to keep it in place is to have a clear white background to make it more clear when viewing. Using rubber mats and so forth make it darker and not as clear and sharp for the video. As for if you are referring to the camera, the setup is assembled onto the desk/platform surface so sometimes there are vibrations or shaking if the platform is disturbed. I will be looking into mounting the camera assembly and arm separately in the future to avoid that. :) Thanks for the input.
Hi, not sure exactly where to buy the original parts for this brand of phone, I would just probably look on ebay or amazon if nothing then google other websites. But other model phones like motorola etc., parts can be found on mobiledefenders.com
The coaxial cables/wire cables are usually used for antenna contact connections etc. So you would probably run into reception issues depending on which antenna the phone is using. From the looks of it, its connected to a 5G antenna. So if your 5G is working fine, it might not if you're in a different area with different network bands the phone is trying to use or connect to with the towers.
Once you disassemble the phone and have access to the screen cable, you heat up the front of the phone where the screen is, and pry it off the frame, get you new screen and apply new adhesive and re apply back to the frame and re assemble the phone. You can also get a screen replacement that comes with the screen and frame pre attached so then you would just move all your parts over from your old frame to the new.
You would need to remove the mainboard as well as the battery since the cables run underneath both. Then you would need to remove the rubber cover in the frame leading to the buttons to be able to pull out and remove the flex cable and then remove the buttons.
do you know what is the white wire on the side connect higher board to bellow responsible for? I accidently cut it off when pry back cover to replace battery
It's usually used to connect antennas. They are called coaxial cables. You can try to search online for one from another phone which might be the same length, since they usually don't sell this part for replacement on every phone

There are numerous antennas, some of the antenna lines are drawn on the plastic covers as shown in the video, and there are some antenna contact points on the motherboard and sub board. There is also an antenna board on the corner of the speaker assembly on the bottom of the phone.
Hi. My Poco F3 lens or probably the lens cover is cracked. Is it necessary to take the back cover off to replace it, OR can I replace it without removing the back cover ?

it's an antenna connection. You can try to replace the coaxial cable with one from a different phone if you find online with similar length but usually they don't sell these by themselves so it's hard to find one for a specific phone

Hi, I don't keep the phones and sell them off after the videos, so wouldn't have it on hand to do. But you can watch this video to see how to take it apart and add thermal paste. Adding thermal paste isn't difficult. If you don't think you can do it, best not to take apart the phone since you can risk more damage to the phone in taking it apart.
Does F3 have a proximity sensor, or only ambient light sensor ? There are still doubts whether Xiaomi uses Ai + gyroscope sensor to emulate an actual proximity sensor on this and some of its other phones.
@@PBKreviews Standard ir proximity sensor, or ultrasonic ? There is an empty space next to the ambient light sensor, so Im guessing its where ir proximity sensor usually resides, but maybe I missed something.
@@korosensei4384 i didnt remove the proximity flex cable to reveal it, the proximity sensor is not on the main board on this phone but on a flex cable which the board sits on and makes a connection with. I believe its a standard proximity sensor.
Did you remove the main board? since it sits on top of the speaker flex cable and makes a connection between the contacts. Make sure the board is seated in place and screwed down properly so it touches the speaker contacts.
It has a lot of adhesive on the back cover but nothing major internally that would stick out to me as being water resistant. Might be ok with small splash of water but nothing major.
X3 was a bit easier to take apart while the F3 was a little more complicated with the removal of the speaker assembly portion and wire cable which attaches to it. Also the F3 front facing camera as glued in place making repairs on that harder compared to the X3 which was not glued in place.
I dont pry the screen off the phones because it would render them useless. Plus most replacement assembly come with the screen attached to the midframe already. However after you take the phone apart, all you need to do is heat up and pry off the old screen from the midframe since all thats holding it down is adhesive as explained in the video.
My 8 months old M51 got directly hit by fast moving cricket ball from screen side and got hit hardly on the brick just below 1cm from camera( to be more precise just above the finger print censor ) there is compression of 2-4 mm due to that my fingerprint sensor quite displaced slightly and not working as lock/unlock button as well , middle frame also got broken from there and had bent over there. Firstly there was a green line on the screen and screen was blinking white when screen was on and blinking green when screen was off at that moment but sometimes that blinking effect got stopped for a while and I could use the phone but still that line was constantly over there. The strange thing is that screen has no cracks and not even a single scratch , damage is only from the fingerprint side with slightly bent and back side But after 5-8 hours it got stopped working completely . I can only see the green flickering of screen when it is off . But when I try to on the screen by double tapping on this it is totally blank. last time i kept my phone on full brightness and 10 min screen time. without using my phone is heating badly and battery is draining as well . ( Always on display is visible but very less in spite of full brightness ) What should I do now? Should I change parts from authorized service center? Will it be durable after that ? Because I have doubt about the durability due to that strong impact. Please reply I will always be grateful to you.
You would probably need a new screen assembly with midframe. Its possible the buttons being compressed down are causing a short or are being pressed down causing issues. Also the screen cable probably got damaged somewhere causing those lines you are referring to so either way, the would need to be replaced. If you change the screen assembly with midframe, should fix your problem and be back to the original durability you are aiming for. This is assuming your main board has not been crushed or damaged, if that is the case then the phone would need to be replaced.
@@Rahulkumar-mf8mk How much did that cost you man, Guessing by the damage, it wudnt be worth repairing it. M51 is a Budget device. If the Cost of repairs is below 110 Bucks (8250 INR) it shud be okay to repair. Else get a new phone man.
@@jashsylde8136 I analyzed a lot before repairing, it took me around 10K (INR) . I made this decision emotionally , I have a problem to get attached also with non living thing that helped me or be with me in the past so I tool the risk and went for that. Display, Side Frame , back panel and fingerprint sensor got changed , phone was just like brand new device and it is working properly as of now as it was bought first time.
It has some graphite film over parts of the battery for heat transfer as well as some padding on the back plate. But gaming phones do have more coverage over the battery etc.
