Dropped poco f4 from 18feet high.. luckily no dmg on screen and no hardware issues..bt back panel glass and side metal got dent hole and broken..service center said to change entire display panel which comes with body which costs 50% phone rate...no option for fixing side panel alone in this phone...repairs too much in this phone..thumbs down

My poco f4 got water damaged.. it was in warranty as water damage is not covered in. I would suggest asap open the back panel and dry it to save it, u can do it manually or u can go to local repair centre otherwise it will get worse eventually. because water damage is not covered in warranty so don't think of it.

Just curious does water in poco f4 go through the Power button or it really water (like an water splash)ealed properly.

It has water gaskets by the power button/volume keys and charger port, sim reader etc. So I would say it is splash proof, but it doesn't have gaskets around the connectors on the inside and so forth, so I would not dunk it in water and expect it to survive in a pool etc.

Can u tell us more about back panel replacement? Like Where exactly to apply the adhesive and whether the back plate attachment depends only on adhesive or there are matching male female patterns to keep the panel attached?

I need a little HELP! I accidentally poked my Poco F4 with my sim ejector tool into the mic hole besides sim tray. Can it affect the quality of mic? Or tampered the water resistance? And what if I mistakenly poke the uppper mic as well? I felt like there was mesh inside so, Is there any? If there was then did I tear it down? Kindly clarify these doubts.

Waiting for this teardown video, the back panel and camera housing can actually be separated? mine I think making squeaking sound if you pressed the back in the middle of the camera housing quite annoying, have you encounter similar issue if so how you overcome, thanks

Yes, a portion of the camera bezel is held on with adhesive and the smaller square portion has 4 Phillips screws on the back which can be removed to free that portion. The glass lens cover itself is held on with adhesive, so if you needed to replace that you would be able to just heat it up and pry the glass part off. As for the squeaking, I have not had the same issue on this one, so might just be one of those screws might be loose or maybe the adhesive is loose not sure.

Dunno why jerryrigeverything doesnt do much teardowns.. PBK has entered and soon will over take him. planning to buy this phone soon.. im kinda oc with the insides of my phone.. The thermal solution is always one of my concerns and "foam-balls" in the speakers.. oh hey i highly suggest you check every phone's speakers if there's foamballs. Thanks for the video.. Edit: by any chance can u check if there is any foamballs with this phone's speaker?

My poco f4 was in authorised servicing center after that back panel kind of risen little above adges they applied adhesive too. Is this normal after opening once and applying adhesive? scared of water entering from back of the frames.

Just the top portion screws since you will need access to disconnecting the battery cable from the main board and need to remove the top cover.

There's actually only one LED light underneath which is the one you see light up. The rest of the slot or space they made it to defuse the light. So the light spreads etc.

No, didn't look or feel like a dual cell battery. Usually the dual cell ones have a split down the middle. This was a single solid piece.

My f4's display is broken and dead , i want an original display replacement , will they(service centre guy's) use original display for replacement or any cheap copy amoled display ? , will service centre change only the display or whole body and one more question will they charge gst tax for display ? pls someone reply , i am so worried .

depends if they are an authorized repair center for poco. If so, then they will use an original display. Not sure if they will only change display or frame too, but usually its a display and frame combo.

Hi, its not a stupid question :). Between those two phones no it would not be possible because the connectors are different. But on some phones, if the connector for the battery is the same, and the size of the battery fits the compartment, it's possible.

Can you please tell me if the motherboard quality looked good enough, average, below average, or "born to failure" in your opinion :c? The reason I ask is that Poco phones have this fame of having very cheap prone-to-fail parts because of the cheap materials and that, that's the reason they only last a few days/weeks/months and then die u.u and I'm not rich, quite the opposite and 400dlls are more than a year worth of saving up for me so I've been wanting to buy my first brand new phone with the greatest performance and display but at the most affordable price there is and the F4 suits that nicely :c... But I'm worried... Thank you for your attention and teardown review.
