I used to work at Datto, Austin's original company (the guy who owns NHRL) and he put ball pits in all the offices lol. I'm not surprised at all that NHRL also has one lol.

There is a better solution to the cold feet. Floor heating 🙌 That's the best thing in the world. I like it way better than normal radiators for the heating... And Floor heating combined with carpet in like a living room or bedroom is quite nice too... We have like a path with tiles through the carpet in the living room for the most common way to walk to the terrace,which reduces dirt significantly.

Reiterating an idea from before the first open sauce: deep ball pit. 10-20ft tall, diameter of kiddie pool. Bottom has an opening with elastic cords so people come through, but limited balls. Maybe a fan blows up the shaft? Dunno. Build a screw conveyer to bring balls back to the top.

German man here, for me it was always just a logical thing to do. You can not pee standing up AND be hygienic about it; it will always splash out, even if the drops are not big enough for you to see. Not to mention how many people apparently miss more often than the hit. I know to many this may sound like an overreaction, but to me peeing standing up is just disgusting, it's pissing on the floor. We also, at some point, had pissoirs in our (guest)-bathrooms, the small bowl-shaped ones with a lid, but I never liked them either; after we had gatherings with more people, you would always see a yellow discoloration on the tiles under the pissoir.

@@jaredf6205 as long as you're smart about it there won't be much risk, the people who start wildfires here are idiots doing like gender reveals using explosives with no safety precautions taken. Especially down there in la area there's just not really much to burn, it's still a good idea to wet stuff down for fire experiments if there's a chance something could catch that you don't want to but I can't think of any of his stuff he wouldn't be able to do, it's moreso northern California inland where there's a lot of risk cause that entire area gets so dry during the summer, like where I am I could shoot fireballs directly into the tree in the front yard year round and it would be pretty unlikely to catch anything

I knew a person who's house had carpet in the bathroom except for like a 4'x4' area where the toilet was and it was linoleum tile. But these people were dirty, there was cat and dog crap on the floor that they just kicked off to the side to deal with later, they also told me someone died in the bathroom via self inflicted gunshot. It was a very bad place to take mushrooms at. I made a mistake.

On shape is owned by PTC who make CREO (formerly Pro-E). Onshape can change the interface to differnt software package, like solidworks.

Rhino 8 just dropped this week too! I learned Matrix, and transitioned to Rhino from there. I love using it, but the lack of parametric built in and the fact only a few industries use it makes it less useful to learn. The surface modeling is so nice though, Autocad made me want to die when I took a class for that. I’m stuck on version 5, are there any good improvements in 6-8?

@@nathanblanchard8897 metric tons! Subd has had massive improvements, and 8 now has ShrinkWrap which just blows my mind, and rrgarding your eish for Parametrics, Grasshopper!!! It's like a wet dream for people like me, who have history with programming. And at least within the Industrial Architectural Design, Rhino and grasshopper are rather popular, especially the latter, and many associates from within these industries have told us (students) that it's usage has only been growing, especially since many companies are slowly getting a taste of grasshoppers generative and algorithmic properties, i.e. anything from shoe companies to loudspeakers and even mice from logitech.

As for this episode being in a ball pit, I am not an ASMR person. I have never gotten the whole ASMR thing. But I didn't hate the sound of the balls. Would I want to hear it every episode? No probably not but if the mics weren't in the pit it could work.

Actually, according to South Park's rule (which was 22.3 years, btw), had this robot competition/podcast take place just 15 days later, the 9/11 memorial battle bot would've been funny. Ah well. On a related note, I wonder if some comedian at 2023's Time's Square New Year's Eve event in a couple days has a joke written about how he hopes that terrorists don't fly a plane into the 12-foot ball covered in lights, as it descends to mark midnight of 2024 (because god oh god, that would mean that 2023 would have to continue, making the crime the most horrific act of terror in history 😁).
