The enneagram isn't about defining your personality tho. It's about identifying your core desires and fears and working to build towards a healthier mindset based on that. The personality description is just general traits that you as that particular type probably have, but not all of them are completely accurate to your personal experience. Even within the types there are huge differences in personality and it can all change depending on your dominant wing and subtype too. And depending on where you are on the health scale can change your personality too. If you're a really healthy representation of your type, you're going to look different from a really unhealthy representation.
It's even often recommended that you don't take the quiz and just read the core desires and fears and decide what type you are based on that. It's really hard to determine what type you are based on a quiz, I was even mistyped because I took a quiz originally. Only you truly know your desires and fears.
Yes!!! My personality leans more toward a 3 but I’m a total 2 and I only figured that out after reading through the desired and fears. My core desires are 100% a 2, but I’ve realize that my 3 wing is very influential in my personality!!

It's taking a lot for my little 9 heart to speak up. But Jenna and Julien! Please! Look into other websites and even other quizzes! The descriptors are not like other personality quizzes that are there to bullet list your traits. The enneagram is an attempt to find what motivates your behaviors and what drives you. It seems to me, and this may have already been mentioned, that the app you are using is fun, but not giving a good explanation about healthy vs unhealthy characteristics. Also! It could be very interesting if yall read about your wings and how the numbers connect. I heard you mention that in the beginning, and no, not all the numbers connect. Each number has 2 numbers you can merge into depending on if you are stressed or if you are growing. i agree!! i was listening to the end of this podcast and wished i could personally tell them that this app probably didn’t give a very thorough explanation of the types. i would agree that julien is probably an 8 and jenna is probably a 5 but i feel like they could find better sources of their types in other places. i hope they see your comment!!
@@xlovatoswag Jenna is much too extroverted to be a 5! I totally agree they should read further into the types to really get a feel of each one and see what they really are. My mom taught enneagram classes for 5 years and its such a complex thing that no one website or app will explain everything the best.

I totally agree! It’s worth looking into! The app quiz is only your “most likely” but it’s nice to read into it and fully understand your number. I’ve found it life changing!

enneagrams are so interesting. the band sleeping at last has an entire enneagram series of songs that correspond to each type. they’re supposed to speak to you in a way that’s supposed to be a pretty deep cut. they also have podcasts on every single type as well. so glad you took the enneagram!

I live in New York City & thank you! It WAS scary! I was trapped 10 miles from my home because trains stopped running, busses & cars couldn’t get through the affected areas for a while, so I walked 5 miles (thru total darkness) until I could finally get an Uber. It was craziness.
The artist "Sleeping at Last" came out with 9 songs based off of the enneagram types, all of them are absolutely stunning. Would recommend listening to them!

manny heffley it’s because they over thought each question. You’re supposed to go with your “gut” reaction and the whole question. If any part doesn’t agree then you disagree. It also helps if you look at it as describing your fears or as you would’ve reacted when you were younger and made more fear based decisions (usually late teens early 20s)
Joshua Nastasi that’s why you’re supposed to take it alone. So the other person doesn’t make you second guess your answer or you ask them instead of answering yourself.
