Just got the build put together and it's great but I do have one critique! When mapping Herald of Agony can work against Ambush and Assasinate by damaging enemies removing their full life status and the benefit of the asendancy. By removing the herald and using 3 chance to poison tattoos I can unallocate the points at the Charisma notable saving 4 points which I used to allocate Mark the Prey notable with the mark enemy cannot deal critical strikes mastery. This removes the herald damage problem, adds another 9% ES, adds no crit to the tonkiness, and results in similar DPS!
I think there are some options to pick from on this that I have not looked too much into but I swapped ambush into the weapon socketed with enlighten+precision and used a increased attack speed support for whirling blades. The attack speed support gem does not have a reservation multiplier and helps smooth out the speed of whirling blades. Plus ambush gets a little reduced mana cost from enlighten to help when you're casting all your stuff to do single target damage!
I changed the build to this version, and it does a lot more damage (when it crits :/ ) but it is really not a little bit close as tonky as the last version and feeling more clunky. If someone overthinks changing to this version maybe this information helps. My hope is that our lord and savior comes out with a even more tonkier version in a few days.
Very nice...Made some more changes during building and hope they work. :) INstead of Totem Setup I've put in "Balance of Terror" -> with 4 free gem slot I've made a Spectre Setup with "Perfect Dark Marionete" + Guardians Blessing, +Meatshieldand picked and Malevolance as Aura skill.....This way we can put 1 more Aura into the build and I've picked "Grace" (MOre tonkynes). Ofc I got rid of Herald of Agony and compensated the missing Poison chance with Tatoos. LEts see if t his works.
I feel like I'm doing something wrong, I just fall over to any phys damage. Also my setup does weird stuff in PoB like showing max ele hit over half a mil when it definetly doesn't feel like that ._.
I like that you're showing off other tonky options with the trickster. The lack of attack speed with the molten strike build is making me sad, but the tonky brings the smile back. I'm hoping to find a way to alter it to use another ability that feels better than molten strike or lightning strike.
@Tallywaggin I'm not the biggest fan of that skill, but I'll be sure to give it a try again. Do you have any other ideas if what might work? My current thought process revolves around ice crash or blade trap. I saw some blade trap videos though and they all seemed quite slow as well
I mean if you want attack speed LS is your best option with this kind of setup I think but you don't want that. Maybe if you level 100 you can try to play around with some different jewels (cluster, timeless?, watcher's maybe?)
@captaintoet1983 I realized I could likely remove increased duration for the molten shell, so then I could use the vaal bit of vaal haste. I doubt it would be worth it to use regular haste if it meant removing grace... but that is something to play around with
@@randomfightfanim running vaal haste + t1 attack speed + veiled 50% attack speed when focused on gloves. This brings the attack speed up to 3.5 APS without the vaal haste activated. With that the molten strike feels very good. For even more aoe damage you can run splitting steel, however without nimis it doesn't really feel good imo.
Nice build! The tankiness seems pretty solid. Just some questions. How do you deal splash damage and inflict poison to the whole pack? Why don't you choose the dagger with 8.5 base crit and craft crit chance to cap your crit chance more easily?
This looks so good man, definitely gonna reroll the last build into this. Since i was playing the endgame version i have a mageblood, can that be implemented into the build or should i sell it to craft better gear for this?
Was just wondering if you’ve run into a bug when using alchemist mark you deal no damage for a short time while using viper strike of the mamba. I’ve been dealing with this on my pathfinder
quick random question is this build tonky enough to take on juiced 8 mod t16/17 ghosted rogue exiles? been playing pf viper mamba and its really good, but not enough tonkyness
I personally did cobra lash with the spectral wolves and envy enchant! Check out zizaran's recent vids and there should be a full vid of him levelling using frostblades with the enchants. Don't have a levelling pob but I can slap a quick one for softcore together if you need one
My problem with using the forbidden jewels is that it completely bricks any group play. I enjoy playing with two of my friends when I am off work. Anybody have a good suggestion on how to reach a natural crit cap without using the jewels ?
You absolutely can use the 5 passive clusters. There's no difference. I'd argue that for at least a couple jewels, it's a better idea, as you can ensure you have easily accessible extra stats like res in order to fix something if you require them(while not being required to actually use them).
@@zoranmarinovic3801 ok friend, 4 passives has 2 passive nodes, the 1 small node and the socket and if you roll a 1 passive jewel on a 5 passives cluster it rolls on the side with 2 nodes. unless this changed in the last few days. on a 4 passive cluster that doesnt matter since both "sides" of the cluster have the same amount of nodes. pls dont talk if you dont know what you are talking about buddy
doesn't look that expensive (by mid league standard), can't even use mageblood. A couple binos, tides of time, the rest is just rares. I'd say 20-30 divines to get started
Mageblood would remove the resist and Str/Dex attribute issue this build has (from my experience playing it so far) Downside is fixing Zealots Oath uptime without Tides of Time. Might be fixed with more flask duration tattoos or jewels though. Would likely be a huge upgrade on the build tankiness if that can be resolved
I honestly dont know what im doing wrong, but I cant stop dying. I cant get passed lvl 92. I have both jewels (+3% and the agony one with shield recharge rate) Im constantly dying, especially to range mobs
Had this build since couple weeks ago, dps is off the roof and easy to scale BUT clear is mediocre at best. There are many other builds that are tankier like cws chieftain, my hp doesn't even move at all in shaper beam.
Yup. Mathil's. Mageblood would open up that build to be more defensive rather than requiring some skill to stay alive. Honestly, it's a rather survivable build in the first place. It's similarly "tanky" to Pohx's RF build in terms of deaths. Of course, different playstyle to bashing your head into mobs though lol.
@@Skillossus Not sure what, but I became 100k ehp from 700k ehp with nothing changed. Dunno if it's a POB issue given it was infinite before then it became 700, then 100, or if it's the game. Regardless, I am done with the league.
It's fantastic, I'm running a pathfinder version of the build but basically the same mechanic, you 1 shot whole screens if it's all close enough for the prolif like breach/legion
Why not just use withering step with natural affinity you also didnt get extra power charge. Also a double or triple synth base on the 2nd weapon. Discipline aura effect on belt and rings. Sadism support or swift affliction so you dont need to put strength stat in your ring for awakened melee damage, you can put all elem res instead. use a poison berry tincture with +300% more poison damage. all in all that would give you +300% more poison damage 20% chance to double damage, have more gem slots to use and ease of stats. Maybe a Brutal Restraint of Babala so it can help on the uptime of flask charges.
Okay, nevermind, my Problem was the ring, i have Building the Last Build with Lightning Strike and i have a "Shavronnes Revelation", and when i Check it, read the Message: "Left ring Slot: You cannot Recharge or Reg Energy Shield". I Think i get to Sleep, for 2 Days... i'm Braindead, Help.
this mamba is seriously strong but cluncky and very expensive , somtimes i kill 100 mobs on 1 strike, somtimes i dont its 50/50 . i just lost 50+ divines with this build so i cant really recommend it to anyone but its nice for blights for some reason
The big Mob AoE is done with Poison and Poison is not guaranteed with Critical Strikes thanks to Perfect Agony so you not only need 100% crit chance you also need 100% Poison chance. Odds are you are missing one of these two stats, also, a Binos is obviously needed for the actual Poison prolif on the other mobs
@@nicholasgreer846 used bino and had every mods and clusters but the dps is not there and somtimes its there , had 100% accuracy i even tried it on clean maps/tried some bosses , on bosses it works all the time for me , just ambush
it makes the pathing 2 nodes on one side, 1 node on the other and if you only roll one noteable because thats all you need, it will be on the 2 node side so will cost 1 extra point. 4 passives medium doesnt matter what side the noteable is on, will always be 1 node
I was just checking prices, FF jewels are 25div for both, Light of Meaning is 45div, Voices with 3 grant nothing is 48div, other uniques have also probably skyrocketed too. The rares are probably expensive to craft and the clusters are probably very expensive too. The cost of this build has skyrocketed out of my budget range, pity.
@@ikbenhomer yes please that would be helpful. I have about 125div at the moment to put on a final build for the league and a 96 Trickster I would like to respec into this or splitting steel or something similar that is very tanky and comfortable to farm T17s and bosses.

Also saw another comment I agree with to swap awakened melee physical for awakened swift affliction. It removes A LOT of str requirement making gearing for res a lot easier and cheaper. Combine this setup with mathils, or do mathils setup. You don't have to have A, B or C, you can play this without 100div jewels. Go check out mathil's version of this, he even says you can play without FF jewels.
if my budget is 1600 divines can i make this build even much more better with mageblood and 3 point voices and some other stuff? can you do some like very expensive pob? cuz i wouldnt know what i should do to make it better with bigger budget
@@rafakal9823 i always follow build guides i have over 20k hours i never tried to make my own builds and never will and its easy to make currency if you dont sit in hideout and complain about not able to make currency
Hes clearly trying to make a build guide that is some what accesible for most people at this point in the league. Yeah you could use a MB but then it wouldnt be a great build guide would it.
cant use mageblood cause hes using a unique flask to get zealots oath I dont know if a impossible escape can be viable if hes gonna use a mageblood. A skin of the lords would also be bad here.
