Hate the fact I never really got to see Regent Park before it got changed so much....this video helps me see it as it was! I wish they would have left one building (preferably high rise) as a museum of "hood life" all over the world- I believe people in Canada need to know this as many have no idea....and of, course, last but not least, I love this song!
stillmaticstarlet it was the end of an era when they started tearing if down. if you grew up there, you never seen a safer hood, everything was handled internally, no pigs, and the only heat that happened was from outsiders
Yeah it's sad that they gentrifying most of the older original hoods in North America. Like Regent is no longer what it once was. Most hoods in NYC also got gentrified. These politicians don't realize all they are doing is making the people living in those hoods move and bring the hood to another growing city.

I used to leave at blevins. One of their boss is from my country. He got shot but thank God he still live. I got who shot him though. I grew I regent park. I learn to play basketball at regent but I also brought my soccer skills at regent. Now I moved n live in another city. When i go back to regent, i see my people and I'm driving in range or Benz. And I see my young gunz, all I wanna do is help them.
