nice video,I went to GVC,Trade school in Point Fortin,Mahaica area, my teacher was Mr.Don Charles,and Mr Persad,,Both from Mahaica, I still love visiting around the area even though I never lived there,the beach is really nice also.thx for memories👍

I enjoyed your video. I left Point 40 years ago. I still see a few Stores and places still there. It has changed, like the one way streets. At the beginning as you turn the camera the Bank is still there, use to be two banks there, at the end of the street I still see the church then the health center where I got inoculated 0:25 food Fantasy, school friends works and own it 1: 01 Valentines Studio is just a shell the gas station is still there (used to be Shell prior) 1:40 Eddies store I see is no longer there, Maybe the orange building now 1:58 looks like Royal Bank moved 2:00 Peeping supermarket is still there 7:36 Kerperlanies is now First Citizens 7:55 Hi Lo is now Massy Stores I saw signs for the Public Library 9:43 Not sure what happened to the Strand movie theatre and Huggins appliances Store? 1:03:13 N.H.Chan and sons is still there 1:03:43 Kalliecharan's is still thrre 1:04:35 Tang Hap super market moved front Vance River to in front the new two story Market 1:09:45 Gopee's Plaza is no longer there 1:10:19 St Anthony church is now Gated 1:31:36 I am not sure where the Post Office is? Or if it is this building 1:33:33 The tiny church is still there St Mark's

Saw Valentine’s Studio on Techier road next to NP gas station-before that it was a laundry which was run by a Chinese man called Wong-any one remember that? Also the lee bun family who ran a cafe/shop at the Techier Main Road roundabout. Where the bank is.Wonder where they are now…Enjoyed the video.

JB, what do you think about Siparia and Diego Martin becoming boroughs? I think several other towns were better suited to be elevated to Boroughs than those two... or am I missing something? Also, Diego Martin doesn't even have a "Down Town", it has several malls and large groceries spread out, but its pretty much residential. I think Sangre Grande would have made a good borough although it has a little way to go before that feels appropriate.

When you went by the entrance to Vesigny you mention a lack of beaches to go to, remember we have Cedros, Mayaro, Grand chemin and and La Lune in Moruga they were nice beaches back in the. 60's 70's 80's I couldn't say for now the condition it's in. Jan 25, 2024.
