This week I am still trying to build up the budget to be able to afford the brushless system that I want to put into this rig. Since I broke my stock bumper, this week I decided to replace it by building my own custom piece.
Josh......... 😱 SICK Bumper!! YES, I'm commenting on OLD Videos. 😜 Gotta ask, for those of us who are stuck in Apartments, no fabrication equipment, and too damn Old to get some.... Would you consider making a few of these Wraith Bumpers, for a minimal cost?? Yeah, back in the Day, I could have easily done this in less than a couple of hours (I'm OCD, and everything has to be clean, including the welds - which I'd be happy to do myself!).... However, I'm Old, Disabled, and busted Broke. So I thought I'd ask. I don't even know if you even read comments from such old Videos. If you do, thanks! I KNOW you're busy as Hell, but would you think about it? Thanks for taking so much time to do these Videos for the RC Community! Carmine 💥 ⛽
Yup a regular kitchen style toaster oven. I have a powder coating system but I prefer to paint. The touch up is much easier then with powder coating and the process is so much quicker all around.
Yep, resurrecting a super old video. Axial really hit a home run with the OG Wraith. First "scale" rig I bought and Lucky for me I still have it. Instead of buying a Phoenix kit, I decided to finish a project I started 10 years ago. Was disappointed that Vanquish shows the Rock Jocks on their site but perpetually out of stock. They were the axles I dreamed about back in the day but couldn't justify buying. I was married at the time. Fortunately I am no longer so there is no budget on my old Wraith build. Super excited that it's still relevant in 2023. Just really disappointed in VP for teasing me with those damn axles. Oh and the Phoenix will join my stable soon. Just not until the dream Wraith is finished. Probably next month because I really want that Phoenix.
You say in the video that you threw the bumper in your little " toaster oven" are talking a toaster oven you use in the kitchen??? And you just spray painted your bumped not powder coated it?
+Theo Albert I built my own tube work when I lived in an apartment with basically a dremel and a mapp gas torch. It can be done for insanely little money if you simply have the motivation to create on your own.
