QOTD-1► Which team did you use to defeat N? I'm very interested to hear your story! ;)
Why I decided to put "Champion" in the title:
I put "Champion" because even if N does imply that he's not refering himself a Champion by this quote "As a Trainer who far outmatches the Champion"
Alder was at full strength but still was defeated..
Some people said that N didn't challenge the Gym leader. I do not believe that argument. He believed he was doing right so much so that he heal all your Pokémon before challenging Him. He wanted to fight you legally.
Also as I was playing in B2W2 N was past the Badge Check Gates waiting for you perhaps a sign? Idk.
And Also in the official soundtrack of Pokémon Black and White, Gamefreak refer to N "決戦", which translates to Decisive Battle.
This text is also used on the soundtrack of Diamond & Pearl at the Pokémon League but also on Blue and Steven.
It's like saying that Red isn't a champion even if He did defeated Blue. In HGSS, Red's trainer class wasn't "Champion" but "Pokémon trainer".
Yet in B2W2, Red can be challenged in the PWT with all the other Champion.
And Last things, N replace Alder to challenge you as the final battle Instead of Challenging Alder, you challenge N.
That's why I decided to put Champion in the title and don't forget, this is my opinion but I still give strong point and argument as to why I considered him as being a Champion.

The first final boss we had to face that wasn't the regional champion. He also was the first in-game trainer to legitimately use a legendary Pokemon in battle. This game was truly mindblowing.

That’s one thing, but beating the elite four without using his dragon is very impressive because if he did than the E4 members would have commented on that instead of regarding him as a trainer And it works well since Zoroark is great against Shauntel and Caitlin, Archeops sweeps Marshall and even though he does not have a fighting type, he does have a few good counters against grimsley like archeops against scrafty, vaniluxe against krookodile and Zoroark’s focus blast to OHKO Bisharp and Liepard I love the attention to detail the developers gave to N’s team so that he’d be able to sweep through the E4 without his dragon

As weird as it sounds, BW was hugely impactful in me leaving a harmful religion and pursuing my own idea of truth. I related a lot to N in that sense, and him having an abusive excuse for a father and just wanting to erase the possibility of living creatures being harmed. There's a lot of depth to this character, and he was clearly manipulated since childhood to react to things the way Ghetsis wanted him to and see things only in black and white. And he overcomes that. He's a broken character raised to be naive, evidenced by his childlike room music box theme. But he isn't a bad guy. He was just fed a certain world view, and was thrown wounded Pokemon to talk to and reinforce his mentality against humanity. He's my favorite character. There's a lot to think about with him, so many things Ghetsis could have done to shape his personality.

But it was hugely damaging to my mental health due to the amount of gaslighting, shame, and the constant push of "you aren't doing enough and if you don't feel spiritual it's your fault, always. You could hear N call out for Zekrom/Reshiram right before they crash through the wall (3:45, 12:40). Of course i prefer the Black path since N's plans match him perfectly as the hero of ideals which is something that Zekrom looks up to greatly. And i become the hero of truth by protecting the progress made for Unova's coexistence with humans and pokemon that N's ideals may interfere with. That beneficial truth is what made me worthy to Reshiram himself.

Gamefreak really went all out with Gen 5. The music, the graphics, the characters, the art, the animation and the plot itself. Sure the other Pokémons weren’t the best but there’s a lot of badass Pokémons as well. It’s so sad to see that this gen was actually hated by many at first just because the internet told them to. But right now I’m just glad that people are now appreciating and praising it. It is truly one of the best and Pokémon’s peak era.

My favorite part about this climax is that it works perfectly with both versions. A lot of people think Black's version of the story makes more sense, but that's not necessarily the way I see it: In black, Zekrom chooses N because he fights for his ideal world where pokemon are free from humans, and Reshiram chooses the player because they fight for their truth that pokemon and humans should live and work together. In white, however, Reshiram chooses N because N believes in the truth that ghetsis has told him; that pokemon should be free from humans. This is N's truth, and his dedication to making it reality would please Reshiram. Zekrom, on the other hand, would view the player as worthy because of their will to show N their ideal world of pokemon and humans living together. To me, White's interpretation is more meaningful because it shows that Truth and Ideals don't have to be different things, nor are either of them universal. Someone else's truth is probably different than yours, and so is their ideals. White's version, in my opinion, shows that the world is not as *Black and White* as it appears.

I mean its kind of a self undoing thing, the only way to solve conflict in the games is by a Pokemon battle, so the fact that we have to beat N in a battle to get him to back down kinda shows that the 'truth' is that Pokemon and humans HAVE to be side by side, just by way of the games mechanics, making Black's version of events regarding Reshiram and Zekrom the 'true' version; N fighting for an ideal with Zekrom, and the player fighting for the truth with Reshiram It's also interesting that many artworks and many players (also maybe the anime? I can't say, I've not watched it) consider Reshiram to be N's canonical legendary dragon

@@Hogglefath He refused the title. He said "You may keep the title of the Champion. But you can't stop me with just a title." He just needed to defeat Alder to prove his supremacy over him. The Champion title itself was never his goal.

That's basically how to hype the final battle: 1. Establish their ideal, goals, and personality (basically to make us care) 2. Establish the stake of the battle 3. Demonstrate the antagonist's powers. 4. Demonstrate the protagonist's powers 5. Let the battle begins! And this game take it one step further by: 1.Prophesizing about the fated battle between the chosen hero of ideal vs the chosen hero of the truth. 2. Making the music epic.

This is the perfect Pokemon battle, IMO. Maybe Red's GSC/HGSS battle could match it. The rival you have faced so many times throughout the game, to finally confront him and put an end to the nefarious plan of Team Plasma that he sees as optimal, as heartful. Only through defeating him and his legendary Dragon will he be allowed to see past what Ghetsis placed before him to understand and see as truth. But not only that. N's final battle fulfills three true final battles as well. The real final rival battle, the real Champion fight, and the evil Team leader battle. Yeah, you fight Ghetsis right after, but he was a mastermind behind the scenes rather than the figurehead. Game Freak really outdid themselves here.

@@rayowens7391 No one said NEEDS to. But the joke/idea is that if he did go into hiding, he would never be challenged and therefore can never lose his title. Look at what happened to Green minutes after he won as champ. Instantly gone. I know the actual reason why Red is at Mt Silver, though he should be inside the caves trying to heal in the hotsprings like the original games.

But it was stated he took the actual trial . He is a champ that just wasn't recorded because he never went into the Hall of Fame. He had other plans.

The intresting part of this, is that the next battle that we will be involved, would be the one against the true villan of the bw game, a man full of craziness, that could prove that he can make his plan come true without any legendary, in fact, when N and the legendary got defeted, this man shows us that he have someone even more powerfull that the legendary dragons...

Light stone: What is your wish? Your truth? Me: My truth? I want to help both people and pokemon. I was able to grow stronger and aid others together with my pokemon for years. Even though there were some struggles, peace through coexistence is holding strong throughout Unova and several parts of the world too. My Team battling N Zekrom(lv.50) Flygon(lv.49) Samurott(Lv.54) Simisage (lv.48) Unfezant(lv.48) Reasons: Zekrom: I wanted a legendary Flygon: Needed a useful ground type Samurott: My Favorite Starter Simisage: I wanted a pokemon that I hated and tried to make it a favorite one. Unfezant: Needed a bird I spent hours grinding these pokemon. Edit: People have so many dang questions.

God damn I miss this. This was Pokemon at it's absolute best to the point where even adults would praise it. The modern games are fine and all, but they have nothing in comparison to this. Gen. 5 had the story, characters, music and most of all challenge that made it the peak of Pokemon.

When Reshiram makes the fusion flare, his roar can be heard, the same with Zekrom and the fusion Bolt , Reshiram is the Blue eyes white dragon and Zekrom the Red eyes black dragon

Black and White were my first Pokémon games and I treasure them. I hate it whenever people diss on these games and praise Gen 1 or Let’s Go, B&W have easily the best story in any Pokémon game and the sequels are medicore but they’re great.

Dang when I first played Pokémon Black I was so hyped up for this battle. Game went and practically changed my life. I didn’t really know what type matchups were and traded a lot with my friend. I believe I had Reshiram, Serperior, Archeops, Sawsbuck, Machamo, and Lapras as my team against N.

6:04 I like this little interaction right before the fight. It shows that N is ready to throw everything he has at you to show that he’s truly dedicated to his goal but also shows humility in not wanting to fight you when your Pokémon are weak and heals you so you’re both equals.
