no he did not, storyline parts he only used shinies on, you can obvi use other pokemon to get a shiny

Just a heads up, I'm pretty sure that you have to catch a Pokemon at least once before a mass outbreak of it can spawn.

@@DesiredSky I think so too but I did find 1 pichu at the start of my adventure just want to complete the dex entry now as it's the only pokemon in the fieldlands section of the dex I havent completed yet. Thanks for the heads up tho

Have to add one thing tho. When the shiny spawns, be sure to walk away from it to the point that it isn’t on screen anymore. It will spawn again when you approach its location so don’t worry about losing it. I made the mistake of saving with the shiny Pokémon in screen, and they weren’t there anymore after the resets.

@@RM-iu9bw I think that was a Bug in 1.0 I always safe with the shiny on Screen and it never disappeared.

@@list9289 not like this guy said that in the beginning of the video. I made the mistake of replying under someone elses comment before I watched the whole thing, so I'm not sure if you did the same thing, but clearly, there are some ways he can get around the shiny locked starters.

@@list9289 but after that he started catching non shinys and battled the pikachu with a non shiny ^^ so starters aside the run was not shiny only at all

@@denj1kuma673 Conditions: Must have 1 Ponyta and must have completed mission 7 To start the mission, go to headquarters and go to the bord behind the professor, that's how you start it

The best method I’ve found is outbreak hunting. 1) find an outbreak you want and travel to the land it’s in 2) save as soon as you spawn in (turn automatic saving off) 3) go to the outbreak and catch all the Pokémon 4) if it’s not shiny reset the game 5) you should load in from your last spawn, from there go back to jubilife, go back to the land with the outbreak, and save at the camp you spawn at again - this method locks out the outbreak spawns that aren’t shiny and also Maximizes your chances of seeing one - if you reset and go back to jubilife and the outbreak is gone just reset again I’ve gotten a ton of shinies this way I highly recommend

Hopefully he didn't use other pokemon, but I'd say it's pretty fair if he only used his starter which is shiny locked. But in which case, I definitely think it would've been better if he just straight up went to find a shiny right off the bat to use for battling.
