Level 13 doesn’t work cause you only get 2 HP per turn from Leftovers. (Might be possible with perfect IVs?) You NEED that HP to survive Mawile or you will die. Due to the long set up it really adds up.
Moveset is Flash Cannon (PP up), Protect (PP up), calm mind, and iron defense.
Special defense up speed down nature.
EVs are 252 special defense, 252 hp, and 4 defense for extra bulk against fairy wind as you set up and extra leftovers HP.
Hold leftovers you will need the extra HP.
Max Dynamax Level to rank crunch.
Bronzor was chosen for its good bulk ability to buff both defenses itself, and poison immunity as without it Weezing could use a far more powerful poison type attack. You NEED a steel type to set up on Weezing as Fairy Wind is its much weaker stab move even if it is stronger than tackle due to STAB hence why we put EVs in special defense. A more physical defense focused build may have been better? But with Draining Kiss I highly doubt it due to very tight PP on Flash Cannon.
Set up on Weezing and stall for as much HP as you can. Protect on a turn with Mawile for more HP and Dynamax so Crunch doesn’t kill you. Even if your defense gets dropped Max Steelspike boosts it right back up. You also need the extra power since Mawile isn’t weak to steel due to its own steel typing and you would otherwise run out of PP.
You can get flinched by Togekiss but as long as you protect for more HP (hence why the extra PP while maybe not strictly needed helps a ton) if need be.
Alcreamie heals itself with G-max finale so don’t waste your PP attacking until Dynamax ends and it has less HP. Otherwise you will run out and lose. Don’t bother with hypnosis since its ability blocks sleep. Use any protects you have left to stall it out.
Crits can kill but you can survive certain crits from weaker moves.
You NEED the booster PP on Flash Cannon to win otherwise you WILL run out.
Do all that don’t get RNG checked by crits or flinch and you’ll golden. Pretty easy one to lab out compared to some others.
Next up Melony. Maybe an ice body Pokémon could work? I’ll think it over but probably gonna look at Ninetails.
