I honestly started to feel bad for hop as the story went on, over the campaign, you just see the hope leave his eyes

Hop's 2nd losing animation is truly heartbreaking. And Oleana just flat out gets depressed

For some reason I love how Oleana has the “bruh” face.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I really like Leon's reaction. Looks like he's someone who doesn't handle losses well, which might be understandable since he rarely losses, but since it's to someone he knows well, he accepts it. Seriously reminded me when I battled my friend for the first time. Since I, and I'm sure most pokemon players never lost a battle in the story, feeling the first defeat kinda stings, but I thoroughly enjoyed the battle since it's my first time battling another player, my close friend, no less.

I love how chairman rose is just “wow that was fun!” As he’s destroying the entire world

Bea and Nessa are like polar opposites. Nessa’s completely undignified and pulling out her hair, Bea’s completely stoic. Both fun. I really like Melony’s shocked face too, very cute

1:07 Really disappointed they didn't make the losing animation of Allister's mask falling off, looking around in shock and embarrassment and quickly wearing back his mask and covering it. You missed the opportunity to show our cute ghost boi his face GameFreak. Also, I know we can see his face in the League Card, I mean as in see him unmasked in the overworld.

Happy that he witnessed the rise of a new champion. But the second time.... when he is beaten at the Battle Tower. 3:46 Oof. Dude looks crushed. We defeated him twice. In the same time period. *Also. This is me but...* I like how his dialogue changes. *First dialogue:* "Battling against a Champion like you... It really is the best... And since you managed to defeat me, you'll be moving up the ranks at the Battle Tower." *EDIT: (Found the quote) Then when you beat him in the Pokéball Tier.* "I'm glad we've got such a strong Champion here in Galar. But even more than that... I'm gutted to have lost! Thanks for giving me the chance to have the greatest battles. I don't plan on losing the next one!" *Then when you beat him in the Great Ball Tier (and you get promoted to Ultra afterwards)* "You and your team are utterly brilliant. You've gone beyond me now... So it's time we move up a rank! But I don't plan on sitting on my bum. The next time we meet in the Battle Tower, I'll make you regret winning your way to face me!" I know it's rivalry talk but... He kinda scared me. Made me go: "Uh-oh."

Hop and Leon don’t take losses all that well, god it breaks my heart and I’d give anything to hug them!

I adore all these new animations/ models! They managed to pack so much character into the little things. Whether it be an animation for gigantamaxing, or a simple defeat animation!

To be honest at the beginning of the game I hated Bede, but slowly I started feeling bad for him, lol. I also don't understand why everyone hates Hop. He's just a friendly rival. Sure he's annoying sometimes, but I did feel bad for him when I beat him every single battle.

I’m the only who who believes that Leon (at least in his own mind) let you win the first battle. He takes it graciously, smiling and giving one last cheer to the crowd. If anything, it was his duty to pass it on. Beating him at the battle tower shocks him. He realises he truly has been beaten. He looks shocked and visibly angry, his arm shaking and he properly hides behind his cap

Beat the game a little while ago, Leon's animation gave me chills

I love how not in sync the lines are with the animations Kabu is on the ground, cant believe he lost "Great pokemon and a great trainer! It's no suprise you won" Whereas the rock type leader (forgot his name sorry) is pushing up his glasses with a large grin, while saying "I just wanna climb into a hole"
