Right? Too bad it's kinda poorly done since the characters look like they are 4 fucking meters away form each other in a stadium the size of a soccer arena. It just looks too goofy to look cool honestly. And "dinamax" pokemon just look retarded , especially when you realize the trainers are standing IN THE MIDDLE TO TWO GIANT POKEMON FIGHTING
Some improvements I want to see in future games: 1 Pokemon moving more during battles 2 Trainers with voice overs 3 Seeing a pokemon actually avoiding an attack, instead of not seeing the attack 4 Wailord in realistic gigantamax form
Imagine if all attacks had cool animations like pyro ball. They could at least have added an animation for when a Pokemon evades an attack. Or added dubs to important dialogue
Same, usually I have to force myself to have limited myself in order to have a tough time with champion fights but Leon was the first time in a long time where I honestly had a tough time winning and I had a decent team

Blue : Good and challenging Lance : The dragon type uwu, but also really noice Steven : Really strong team and good strategy Wallace : just Thunder Shock everyone ( kidding , his Milotic is pretty neat) Cynthia : best champion so far Alder : meh. Iris : Its like Lance, but has good pokemon as well Diantha : *meh* Kukui : One of the best characters so far. As a champion, its pretty good! Hau: Remembers much Gary , also a fantastic character *the rival from lets go* : Its oki. I mean, he tries i guess but he so invisable Leon: IM THE UMBEATABLE CHAMPION, U CANT DEFEAT ME *procceds to be one-shot*

The way Leon drops his hat and you see his lip quiver before he smiles really shows a lot about his character. One thing I wills say, is that this game got character animations right
There is no excuse for how easy this game looks I wish pokemon would bring back the difficulty from the old games just the amount of joy if beating that one gym leader after losing many times felt so gratifying
Tyr Cipher Yeah idk why people say Pokémon was very hard... and I mean if you really wanna experience the true battle. Be underleveled and don’t grind. Or if that isn’t hard enough for you do a NUZLOCKE or anything really. The experience comes from you.
Tyr Cipher I found gen 2 and 3 very challenging and everyone’s favorite Cynthia was a really hard battle for me as a kid it’s just later in the series the battles just never gave me a huge challenged even when under leveled

People are remembering from a time when they was 5 or 10 years old playing gold, silver... etc. In the back of their parents car having use the street lamps for light to play the game. The games have never needed you to grind. The games were always set up in a way that your level would match up with gym leaders during every major battle. Pokemon games were only hard if you made it hard.
I like it that they make Bug pokemons really strong by combining it with other types. There was Golisopod, Vikavolt (one of my super faves), Volcarona and now Orbeetle.
I love the background music/noise in these battles. How you can hear the crowd chanting a game chant just like the Seven Nation Army or We Will Rock You along with the music.
I don't think GameFreak truly grasps what it means to give players an experience share that applies to the whole party of pokemon from the start of the game.
@@anothergamer112 that kinda makes sense and it was probably what they were going for too. If you talk to Milo before the finals begin he pretty much tells you he's preparing for anything like Raihan's crazy weather throwing him out for a loop
Hop copies every single motion Leon does except the losing one. This is because Hop has never seen Leon lose, he doesn’t have any material to copy from.
@@giran4914 actually if anything it's really smart and is alot of work, and quite frankly, when you really think about it, if the Pokemon is literally the size of a dynamax Pokemon it wouldn't even make sense. Those are some really poor choice of words you got there -_-
MEMER AND SPLINTER it’s not smart, it’s not cool seeing how big it says it is in the dex, and when I’m battle is the size of an obese charizard. And wailord isn’t that big, and it would be understandable if the dynamax wasn’t crazy large. Every single large Pokémon is sized down.
Why do you people have to find a problem in everything like c'mon we're really complaining about sizes? I miss the days when no one gave a crap about graphics

@@spy_matt7171 its the same with all the other champions, you win but the world somehow doesnt realises it that the champ was beaten. My theory is that the people of Galar have the nemory of a goldfish
@@marcjehle2480 Yes you win with the other champions but at least they put up a fight this is just ridiculous. Even Kukui who hadn't been champion for 20 minutes was harder to beat

Well you guys clearly didn't pay attention when SAKURAI said that not every Pokemon was gonna make it into the game . So before y'all start jumping on me check your sources before judging the game or idk maybe watch the actual reveal trailer for the game and the reasons as sakurai does state not every Pokemon would fit but maybe in future generations they would . And as for the graphics or the "models " you have issues with pull your heads out of your ass's because he said they had to do this for a reason or would you prefer your switch's blowing up in your hands from graphics overload?
Thanks for posting this. My dog knocked me in the head with his skull when the last cutscenes began and I sat with my throbbing head in my hands for the entire thing, not realizing the dialogue would continue even if I didn't press A. I missed it. I missed the whole ending. After hours of gameplay I missed it, and had a splitting headache. So yeah thank you.
Here’s how I would have fixed Leon as a character. Instead of constantly bragging about being undefeated is that deep down, he doesn’t want to be champion anymore. Leon has to live up to his fans expectations and he has never been given a choice to do what he wants. So in a way he is kind of in a mid life crisis, and when he says that he is terrible at directions, it’s only a cover story so he can travel Galar to relive his first adventure for old time’s sake. And I can make him less naive, but that’s some other time. And the only thing I would change about Hop is that Leon fears that Hop would go down the same path. And when you beat Leon he can tell you when you feel your time is up and the next challenger arrives, give them the opportunity to shine.
My experience while battling Leon was great . I really felt like I was actually in the anime my inteleon was my last pokemon and Leon's charizard was his last pokemon with both dynamax our pokemon with his charizard being faster than my Inteleon hitting him with max overgrowth and I watch in horror as my inteleon health went down fast but my Inteleon managed to hang on to a tiny sliver of health and with its remaining strength landed a max geyser on Leon's charizard winning me the match battling Leon will be my greatest memory playing pokemon .
that was an amazing battle you had there! i had to max revive my inteleon and then i had to switch out to a vaporeon on the charizard battle after my dynamax steelix got murdered by a g-max wildfire
33:00 I love Mr Rime’s little idle animation. I think I may end up using him for my playthrough. Also that sandstorm kinda ruins the battle. Just imagine if you’re sitting in the front row and there’s just constant sand in your eyes.
Honestly i remember when Cynthia (the best champion) destroyed me like 10x in a row. Gen 5 and up, the games really started to get easier. One of the reasons why they are so easy is that you know what's coming up first. Maybe game freak make a champion's AI not choose the same pokemon in the same order, but randomize it so you dont now whats coming up first. I understand that they game is primarily targeted to kids, but you have an adult audience as well.
Keisha Webster the best way to make the game harder, would be that the Trainers fight like they do in the battletower, where they have items and some have some kind of strategy. That and make Leon’s team be a little bit higher lvl and it would be a challenge. Imagine weakness policy aegislash (that he uses in the battle tower) having the risk of getting swept.
Dude my entire team was under leveled in this fight and I still found a way to beat Leon. Those X Attacks and Defenses the game *practically gives you* on the ground really come in handy
Agreed. I'm surprised that at this point, they haven't considered doing that. It may have worked for all the games leading up to X and Y, but at this point, seeing NPCs and your character make gestures or move their mouths with no sound coming out of them is weird.
@@luisn.pietanesi255 they could've take the BOTW approach and at least voice cutscenes. I've seen the cutscenes and its weird how their mouths just move with nothing happening
Why has no one acknowledged that the song that plays when you battle Leon sounds similar to the first Champion celebration “into the palace” I’ve been with Pokémon since I got my first game, yellow version, in kinder and when I was watching this and the campion song with Leon start playing I just felt every emotion at once 😭😭😭😭😭
