Pokepark! Seriously Barely anybody talks about those games and while I have only played the second game they are both super underrated. It kinda reminds of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games with how you actually play as a Pokémon, although unlike Mystery Dungeon and other Pokémon games the combat is real time and you have to move around and attack enemies in a 3D environment just like how some people wish modern Pokémon games could be like. Also you get explore across a big sized envoirment as well.
The DS had such great spin offs. from mystery dungeon blue rescue team and explorers of sky, through the ranger trilogy to pokemon conquest. not onlt the main line games were the best IMO, the DS era takes the cake in tne spin off department as well
Yeah I've played through the game multiple times only getting there and beating it once although currently I'm doing a 100% play through which is Getting all perfect links for warlords and generics and getting them all their best abilities (in my opinion) and getting them to 100% so that in the gallery and if I ever did play in multiplayer I could use generics in a match and not get decimated
@@prismatic6077 yeah its been a real pain in the ass tbh I think I'm mostly done currently all I have to do is rank up masamune get his braviary to 100%, get nobunaga to rank 2 and get his Zekrom to 100%, then in the final episode do rank 3 mc, arceus, Umbreon, rayquaza 100% as well as finish all the stories hopefully by the end of the day I should be starting Masamunes episode but I'm not going I have to deal with yoshimotos first
Pokémon Conquest is super underrated. An interesting premise, amazing characters with great designs, a kickass soundtrack that can compete with gen 5, and a great villain to tie it all together. Not only is Nobunaga my favorite Pokémon villain, but he's my fifth favorite Pokémon character in the whole franchise. This game needs more attention.
@@peeface2963 You hear about it but mostly from people that haven't played it yet and want to, or who picked it up only recently, either secondhand or via emulation. In other words, you barely heard about it in the years immediately after its release when it was still retailing
@@jemas4918 My top 5 Pokémon characters in order are: 5. Nobunaga (Conquest) 4. Koya (Diamond and Pearl Adventures manga) 3. Alain (XYZ) 2. Grovyle (Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky) 1. N (Black and White)
I’m so glad my mom looked at Pokémon Conquest and thought “Ooh dragons and Pokémon? My daughter will love this” and I did. I proudly say Glaceon was my first starter pokémon (and totally not that one McDonalds Dewott card)
My biggest regret was not picking this up when it came out. I wasn't big on strategy games back then. Maganged to get it at a fair price a few years ago.
With Legends Arceus being set in Feudal Japan and the entire plot of Pokémon conquest is to befriend Arceus if we don’t get a Pokémon Conquest remake I WILL riot. Conquest is amazing
6:28 the wifi passwords that you need to unlock certain stories are available on the internet. There are also codes to force swarms of certain pokemon. You can go even further and find a password generator that can spawn any pokemon in the game as a swarm(apart from legendaries and whatnot)
Seeing this game getting talked about again makes me so happy, it’s genuinely my favourite Pokémon game and I hope in the future they are able to make a sequel or remaster that is just as good
Let's also acknowledge that this is one of the fewest games to break the meme of Boss character when you fight against it Boss character as a selectable character Arceus is op against you and possibly more op against your opponents Mewtwo in Gen 1 maybe was the only Pokémon to ever dominate its own game like that
@@ThePillowNaut I chose almost always glaceon because it's kinda obviously set up like that Nobunaga from dragnor with a zekrom I have eevee this is gen 5 Before dragnor the last ally of Nobunaga nextorn is ice type warlord The game want you to choose glaceon
@@tpsam Bros am I the only one that got 6 Eevees and evolved them into different Evolutions individually on the same tutorial play through? Absolutely wiped Nobunaga with my Glaceon. Espeon wiped Viperia and Vaporeon wiped Cragspur.
6:52 I don’t know how to break this to you, you only need to beat the 16 main warlords to unlock that path. Side warlords like Okuni are 100% optional, with a few exceptions to unlock the 16.
Oh my lord. You need to play this game. After over 10 years, I STILL play this game. It is so slept on. I pray that this game will come back to switch one day
YES! We need Pokemon: Birthright as collab with Fire Emblem and then Pokemon: Revelations a mix of Conquest and Birthright, Fire Emblem and Samurais with Pokemon sounds cool
It along with explorers of sky are the best pokémon games ever made, at least for me. The characters were great, the story was amazing, the designs are awesome, the pokédex and evolution methods are well picked, and the postgame is the best ever made. The only thing against it is the whole speed=accuracy, which doesn’t help rock and steel types
Ah yes, Rock and Steel pokemon get the least accurate moves in the series(Iron Tail and Stone Edge to be specific) AND have the lowest speed in the whole series. Good luck hitting your moves
@@sterling8389 yep, that sucked. Instead, they should have just made each move have their set accuracy(except for inferno) and get that accuracy boosted the closer it is to level 100 and/or how stronger you are than your opponent
I preordered this and still have it. It's one of the most approachable SRPGs I've ever played. Really eases you into it and then ramps up the difficulty when you understand the mechanics.
Fun fact: intelligent systems wanted to make a crossover with pokemon but because conquest was in development and would most likely have the same concept and gameplay as a fire emblem x pokemon game, they ended up not making it and instead did a crossover with shin megami tensei (tokyo mirage sessions #FE for the wii u)
This has been my favorite side game since it came out and am still playing it to this day. Also at around 7:30 you don't need to beat them all you just need to activate the quests. The reason for this is to make it so the player has to evolve their warlords.
I literally still play this game every day! Heck, I just had RU-vid on auto play and this vid came up while I’m currently playing Conquest lol I love this game so much and wish that we could get a sequel! ❤️
Pokemon Conquest is probably one of my favorite games of all time. There was a time where I had the patience and time to get to the final story, but sadly I have not been able to do it since. Regardless, the game is a lot of fun and I have a lot of memories with it. Heck, the reason why I got it was to have a new Pokemon game to play while waiting for B2W2, so funny how that worked out. XD Anyways, I'm glad that you covered this game as it is one of my favorite Pokemon games and is also what got me into the Fire Emblem series, my favorite video game series.
I remember playing this game when it came out and it’s among my fav Pokémon spin offs. The gameplay is so unique and makes for such a fun experience that deviates from typical Pokémon games. I only played through it the one time but this video is making me wanna revisit!
I've been saying this for ages so I'll say it again *WE NEED A SEQUEL THATS ESSENTIALLY A COLLAB WITH DYNASTY WARRIORS CALLED POKEMON CONQUEST WARRIORS!*
I love this game, currently on Keiji’s episode grinding up Warlord links and waiting for the traveling merchant to appear so I can get the guardian charm.
What if we did a Pokémon x Fire Emblem game, Pokémon x Nobunagas adventure will never get a remake. And the post game really made me love it, after 600 hours and years passing I beat everything including all the post game stories
While it is a shame that it takes so long to get to that point, it pulls it off in a way that can make people happy. I myself enjoy grinding for levels in various video games. The extra content in this one is incredible because it actually has a decent reward for full completion. In other Pokémon games, there's no true ending. I'm lucky enough to own an original copy. I myself want to try to do the impossible and do a 100% speed run of it. Every story. The true ending. As of now there is no category because the entire game is so long. But it would be fun to attempt.
I logged over 100 hours in this game (more than either Xenoblade 100% playthroughs I've done) and completed all campaigns with all perfect links for the Warlords. I regret nothing.
one of the reasons it probably did not sell very well is that it does not appeal to child audiences. I played it as a kid because I got it as a gift from my parents after getting into pokemon. for the record my parents had no idea what this game was and i never asked for it, they probably just thought the cover looked cool and bought it for my birthday. it was a difficult game but I loved every second of it. eventually i got my hands on a game shark and was finally able to progress through cheats, and ended up loving the game even more. i looked up video guides about how to trigger legendary link pairs, played every campaign until the finale, and replayed my favorites constantly. I havent played it recently, but the memories have been permanently engraved into my mind.
I honestly would like to see a comeback for Pokemon Conquest. Its a good game that deserved more attention and to port it to the Switch or make a new one would easily rile people up, including me lol. I'm also wondering if Pokemon side games could be how they can solve the issue with Mythical Pokemon being a pain to get as they tend to be. They can breathe life back into old side games or make new side games and make it so completing the game will give a specific Mythical Pokemon for that specific game that we can then bring over to our living dex. But unlike Pokemon Ranger, I'd like it if the games didn't do a one use only for Mythicals cause that's annoying since making it possible to farm them by replaying the games would encourage replaying the games you get them from. But hey, that's just a crazy idea from a crazy fan of Pokemon, so what do I know? xD
Got this shortly after it came out. It was my first Pokémon game. I spent hours grinding for evolutions, transformations, and trying to get anyone who could to link with a pikachu 😂
Would love a remake of this. I also love Fire Emblem Three Houses so perhaps a cross over with Fire Emblem would be a bit more relevant to today’s fan base.
I’m proud that, for all of the gaming phenomenon I’ve missed, for the minimal Pokémon side games I bought/got as a kid, and despite the fact that I may not have ever gotten to the final story (maybe I did, it’s been a long time), I did get this game and adored it as a kid. Just recently bought a copy on eBay to replay it, and I’m gonna go for the final story
I watched an episode of Jeopardy about a year ago where an entire category was about video games. But literally every question, every single one, was about movie adaptations of video games, like Lara Croft. I was personally offended. It would be like having a category about Shakespeare, but every question was about the movie adaptations, not the playwright or plays.
This game is often compared to the other ds spinoffs but as someone who has played all of the spinoffs, this game is in a league of its own. So good The sales overseas was really irritating to look back on, they only translated the games in Italian, German, Japanese, Chinese and english which is criminal
I’m not gonna lie, I’m surprised this game is as obscure as it is. I remember first seeing an ad for this game on a TV once, and I knew instantly that I wanted it. Even better was the fact that it would release just two days after my 11th birthday, so I thought it would make an ideal birthday gift. Not to mention, I was too wrapped up having fun in my Black version to even care about B2W2, and I would actually miss out on these games (I picked up a pre-owned Black 2 a few years later). While I did have a 3ds at the time, it didn’t really matter to me because of backwards compatibility. Anyway I did end up getting it and I had a blast. Never got past the main “tutorial” (I never knew there was content past beating Nobunaga, but I’m happy there is). I still have the game to this day.
For those who are looking for a fast way to grind bond affinity with your pokemon to evolve them and their warlords, the best (and only) advice I can give you is to buy as many Guardian Charms as you possibly can, and send the pokemon in to training grounds solo. During the early game, the Guardian Charm should make your pokemon strong enough to handle entire armies by themselves. Although this power boost will eventually taper off once your enemies start ranking up as well, you can still get a rapid head start by feeding a ton of experience to a single pokemon.
Pokemon Conquest is really interesting and cool. I think personally think it's the most criminally underutilized game. Everything about it is solid, but it does fall short in things like a flushed out story, less tedious post game content and pvp battles(especially due to the ds servers being shut down). But for a singular game in a series, it super solid, and truly deserves to get it's second installment over games that have already had a sequel. Even though I'd love Pokepark 3 :)
I got this game near launch because kid me was attracted by the Pokémon. This game is what got me into Fire Emblem and, looking back, was my first exposure to the Sengoku Period of Japan.
Thank God I was lucky enough to get a copy when it came out cause they're actually kind of hard to find. Sucks that this game virtually disappeared off the face of the earth
I give my child self props for having a brain and buying this game around launch and it was so awesome even though I had no idea what I was doing (thank you grandma)
I LOVED this game!!! I have five times the amount of hours as almost any other Pokemon game. (Approximately 500+ hours...... Yes, I DID finish all the campaigns and Yes, I have wasted my life) They NEED to remake this game NOW!!!
This game was so much fun, the only thing which bugged me was that getting tier two war lords you had to purposely stop your progress because normally for most of the stories it will take you under a year to take over the region lol.
