"Pikachu was the one that sent those kids to the hospital", is a sentence I never knew I needed to hear. Thanks! Also, I love how Jynx is considered racist and had it's color changed forever. But Mr. Popo is still rocking his look, and may even look more racist than Jynx. Toriyama didn't give a damn.
Imo gen 2 is like a transition between gen 1 and 3, as they are a bit more story heavy and have box legendaries, but the story isn’t too fleshed out and the legendaries lack a coherent theme.
I hate how the ORAS Elite Four all got Megas. It just felt like a shoe-in on top of Dusknoir and Walrein being demoted from being Phoebe and Glacia's mains
Strange Balls have such a cool design. Like, I can't think of any reason as to why you can't pass them onto breeding. They could make it so the offspring could have the same types of Hisuian Pokéballs as their parents too!
The professor’s battle team orders line up perfectly in existing counterparts between the paradox Pokemon so you can just infer that the other Pokémon on their battle teams which line up in Pokémon order are counterparts which means these Pokémon are counterparts: Iron Bundle = Scream Tail Iron Moth = Slither Wing Iron Treads = Great Tusk Iron Hands = Brute Bonnet Iron Jugulis = Flutter Mane Iron Thorns = Sandy Shocks Iron Valiant = Roaring Moon Miraidon = Koraidon
The weirdest thing Pokemon ever did was start their series off with a game about a goofy 10 year old who wins because of how much he loves his pokemon and then immediately turn him into a stoic serious 14 going on 40 year old little boy standing on top of a frozen mountain the next game, and then decided to keep that characterization for him forever after.
I'd like to add that the most neutral I've ever felt about a shiny Pokémon is the Tink line. It's another family of Pokémon that changes the object held instead of the creatures themselves. However, it's surprisingly great seeing them hold bronze/copper tools instead of the normal iron ones, which has historical significance for the Copper Age and Bronze Age, both of which predate the Iron Age. (Though this canonically makes the shinies weaker, since copper and bronze are more malleable than iron and steel, so their weapons will deform more easily with repeated use)
In the TCG portion of the video, did you forget to blur the footage in the background or something? It was rather distracting seeing all that movement, when the real subject matter is the static images you're talking about. Bit of a weird editing choice.
I genuinely dont understand your subscriber count. 236k is definitely far from bad, but with the quality of your content, it just feels like you should be sitting at over a million. Im not even really trying to be nice either, just making an observation mostly. Im not going to name any names, but I can think of several other channels with over 1m subs that regularly produce considerably lower quality videos. I don't understand.
Items, moves and Pokémon should never be removed from the games IMO. Upgraded and differentiated so that every single one has a niche use? Yes. But not removed.
While I dislike the way they distribute promotional items and Pokémon now in such an impersonal way, I do appreciate how they have done such a good job at making everything universal across the different countries. Items locked behind regional barriers, or behind certain versions of a game like the old gen three berries, it’s all just a hassle.
