Oh, man... To see them start out as friends when we know they're bitter enemies in the game. Makes me wonder what happened between Grovyle and Dusknoir that severed their friendship...
what i personally think what the reason can be its not that their only friends but their Rivals to each other wanting to to reach greater hights in strength countering each other on every move they specificly have attacks to counter the other Dusknoir as example has shown moves like ice punch just so he something super effective on Grovyle
It’s definitely strange to see Treecko and Duskull starting out as friends, knowing how they end up as Grovyle and Dusknoir. I can already tell that the saddest part of this story will be Duskull finding out what will happen if time is changed, and it leads to them becoming enemies. I can honestly picture a few scenarios and possibilities in my head on how that might happen. But either way, I’m excited to eventually see it

I always love seeing these fanmade romhacks expanding on Grovyle and the Dark future in general. It's certainly intresting seeing Grovyle and Dusknoir starting out as friends even if at first things were a little rough between them with Treecko not even letting Duskull introduce himself, being rash and impatient with him. I'm already guessing as to how their friendship becomes severed is when Duskull realizes what happens if history gets changed leading to the quite possibly one of the saddest parts of the story along with the rest of Espeon's group possibly getting wiped out along with Duskull and Treecko becoming enemies by the time Explorers of Sky comes around. I know I'm late to this, but excellent work on this project so far. Thank you for making this.

I wonder if that Starmie lost its gem to a Sableye. One of Sableye's PokeDex entries mention that this Pokemon eats gemstones and since this is the future in which time freezes, the environment can't form wild gemstones. As a result, less food available for the Sableye and they have to feast on other Pokemon that have gemstones on their bodies like Carbink and Starmie.

Yeaaaah it really has its creepy part with the whole grafting thing, I could have maybe have done it in a more explicit way but I kinda wanna keep vanilla pmd gore visuals (no blood). seeing the past story of dusknoir and grovyle is cool and really gives us the backstory on how these sworn rivals turned friends came to be, i love this so much ❤😊
@@mariocano3858 mystery dungeon explores of sky has always been a comfort game for me i would just replay it again and again i just could never get bored since the floor maps are always random so you never know whhat you can find on the floor
@@lucygirl1111 Ye, ik! For me, it was the story that really trapped me as a child. I remember that, after experiencing the whole story, which is already very rich, I found out about the seven treasure quest that could only be activated by wondermail in explorers of darkness. That made me go wild! I still remember how fascinating it was for me to think that this game's story never ended, and I was so thrilled every time a cutscene I hadn't seen before showed up. Its truly a magic game, and it's like a dream to be able to contribute to it by expanding it's story and character development 💘
@@mariocano3858 not long ago i still found out there are cut scenes out there that i had no clue existed in this game for example there is a huge win where a bunch of bellossom and lucdicolo brusts into the spinda cafe and start dancing

This is a masterpiece, lately I’ve been on a MASSIVE PMD2 binge lately (legit watching Spaceysoundys 8 hour retrospective every night before bed & even at work when I’m done with my finance/lecture related audio) & this has come out at the perfect time, the 5th special episode in sky changed my life, I can’t wait to see what else this mod entails. I really like the extra details of duskull’s dialogue when considering entering other holes, leaving the room early, reading the note, the conversations with gulpin/diglett etc. can’t wait for more! I tried finding the Twitter handle but I can’t seem to find it though

@@mariocano3858 I certainly enjoyed those little details, the same way I enjoyed the little details in the original PMD2, I'd go around talking to every single NPC, and most of them had unique dialogue too! The level of love & care was off the charts, the same way your mod does, no pressure, I am certain whatever you come up with I will enjoy! It's great to see someone else who has this kind of love for the OG PMD2, the game literally changed my life, I have no idea how to mod or play games online, my expertise is like around accounting, finance, gym, nutrition etc., but it's great to come back to this content as my life is quite hectic, this is a great way to unwind from the hustle & bustle of everyday life!

I think most of us grown adults who come back to this series almost in a religious and spiritual way feel the same way, but at the same time we all probably live really different lifes. We are all adults now (unless the younger generation came back to the older games) & we still have a connection with this game, I remember the good old school holidays playing the game & blasting the treasure town music since my siblings liked it (they never played this game but liked that tune), no more school holidays now! I need to apply for a holiday if I want one. That's a brilliant point, it doesn't matter what you look like, what your interests are etc. it's just a nice game for all to enjoy! That was interesting. I really liked the fact that Treeko is hard on his partners, which makes Cherrim feel guilty about her abilities. Will she put herself in danger to prove that she can be useful? Will she develop a sort of hatred for Treeko as a result of the condescending remarks she receives? Frankly, I'm curious about this character's development. That said, I do have one big question. I've always thought that Grovyle was partnered with the main character in the second game for a very long time. Not only does it strike me as odd that this isn't the case here, but it's even stranger to me that Grovyle met Dusknoir before the main character did! So I'm wondering when the human will appear in the story. I suppose he won't appear at all. Finally, seeing the pre-evolution of one of my favourite pokémon get eaten was something I wouldn't have wanted to see xD Thanks PMD Gang.

I just wonder where Treeko met the human that would become the partner. Realistically, I wonder if the human would be with Treeko before meeting Duskull.
It looks like the creator did a great job with this rom hack! I cant wait to see the update. But I'm having trouble trying to patching the game. I wish he would just upload a pre-patched rom.
I have some doubt about this. Calamities made so that Pokemon couldn't evolve, which means Grovyle and Dusknoir should have been at their stages before the tower collapsed Second... The swearing. Freaking, nerd and pissed in a Pokemon game? That's some Snakewood/Dark Rising tier script. Also since the user is spanish.. If you see this comment, in English you don't use the flipped ! and ?. Just the regular ones at the end of the sentence.
Thanks for the feedback! The non-evolving problem has been taken into account, and it will be solved in a proper and interesting way :P The second, well, that's just for some of the Pokémon to sound meaner, only the Mightyena and a few more use those words, the rest of the script is pretty much original PMD-type. It is a darker game than the original one as you will see though, so I think it's necessary for some evil Pokémon to sound that way. Sorry if it disturbed you :S And yes, I'm trying to locate and fix all of those flipped ! ? that may have bypassed my own translation, sorry for the inconvenience! If you have any particular example, please tell me, I will check if it's already fixed in the current version. Hope you enjoyed the rest of it! 🥰
@@mariocano3858 I would agree with maverick5169, a core aspect of Pokemon's identity is its child-friendly writing style, and how it can maintain that even when it gets dark or mature. I think if you need swearing in order to make a Pokemon game seem mean, dark, or mature, then you shouldn't be writing for a Pokemon game. I would encourage you to get some second looks over your script for suggestions of how to clean it up from that, because it will take away from the experience.
I'm betting a time gear will be used to evolve, since it's also the only way the dimensional scream could be used in the dark future. As for the swearing part, I'd find it interesting if pokemon had their own version of curse words, like for example, "Oh Muk!" since Muk is a pokemon.
