@@varundoolub6877 i have a theory that the character you play as is, while maybe not a villain, a kid hungry for power. many times in the game people would ask for your pokemon to play with the others, yet you would mercilessly destroy them all. while wally pulled out a ralts to prove to his dad that he was strong, you beat his ralts half to death. when wally approached you after you had destroyed everybody who would battle you, he wanted a fight to defeat you, not as rivals. after you destroyed the entirety of the pokemon league May asked you to come back to little root town. I think that had the deeper meaning of "stop this". you continued to mercilessly destroy everything in your path to obtain more power, deoxys and rayquaza. wally was the real protagonist. you were the antagonist
I like Wally because he's realistic. He's the only rival that feels bad and unhappy after losing to the main character. And he wants to be even stronger. Gallade is and will always be my favorite Pokemon because I feel Wally's spirit in him.
My Mega Sceptile and Wally's Mega Gallade had one of the most epic showdowns in my Pokémon playing career. It was like something out of a samurai film. The rose petals and the music just sat everything so perfect! The game designers handled this really well.
I swept the poor dude with my (disgustingly overleveled) Blaziken without mega-evolving, until he sent in Gallade. What I saw in my head was way cooler than what happened on-screen. In-head: Most epic showdown between fighting types. On-screen: Brave Bird ftw.
@@avocadeous Mega Blaziken has incredible stats, it's just redundant because a regular Blaziken with Life Orb would deal about the same damage while still having speed boost to out-speed everything. You're thinking of Mega Garchomp. That one lost 10 points in speed and nobody used it because of that.
+Michael Trinidad I actually think it would have been great character development. Wally definitely grows stronger as you play the game and it would have been cool if he ultimately reached his goal and became Champion.
It would've been cool but it means more to me that Wally didn't go after the champion and instead just wanted the 8 badges to follow in your character's footsteps. He overcame his fear and lack of confidence and became an awesome trainer
I can't remember if I at least teared up when I got to this battle or not, but if I didn't, I wish I did. This fight is just so emotional and epic. You feel so proud of Wally for making it this far and overcoming his fears.
I dunno why, but for some reason, I felt that this particular battle was just more fun than any other rival battle, or battle in the series, for that matter. Might be because of the music, but also because I felt this was what a rival battle should really be like, in the sense that Wally's actually looking up to you and using yourself as a measure for his growth, as opposed to Gary/Silver. It just comes off as more of an actual interaction than anything. That theme definitely helps though. Fantastic battle!
This battle was pretty underwhelming to me because how easy it was. I felt bad for crushing Wally's Gallade with a single Moonblast from my Gardevoir. I even hold back (ironically) my best moves to make it harder. I just wanted it to be a really hard battle, where almost all my pokemon faint and I almost lose. But Wally just sucks anyway.
When the battle music started playing I was like "WHOA HOLY SHIT WHO TURNED ON THE DBZ SOUNDTRACK?!" From then on, I call that theme: "Wally's Determination"
This has become one of my favorite battles in the entire series. Through Wally's growth as a trainer, to the scenery, and need I mention the amazing battle theme, I loved this battle and I hope both Wally and that kick ass theme return in the next games.
Never thought that I would ever say this, but... Wally actually looks cool here. It seems that he got a huge boost in term of character trait in this game. I like it. Great battle as well, Omega!
***** Yeah, Wally definitely was handled a lot better than what the original games did (he was pretty pointless as a 2nd rival back then honestly). Thanks man! :D
***** I didn't like the personalities much in XY; I liked the ones who were complete douchebags to you. Thanks to the NO BULLYING rule, they're _too_ nice.
Well, sun and moon had an ok story, specially back stories of so e characters like Guzma, but it was overshadow by not having gyms and to be honest, Sun and Moon that is the thing I didnt enjoy, but Sword and Shield, OMG, where do I begin.
omegaevolution once I saw you and Wally take out your starters and have them mega evolved, I knew shit was getting real! I got chills watching this battle! Thanks for uploading
THAT THEME! THE CHILLS! THE EVERYTHING! Seriously, i'm gonna be dissapointed if this song goes into oblivion in the next pokemon game. Wally needs to appear in the next pokemon game *at any cost*
No. Your innocent little cinnaroll is long gone. Wally is now a badass who doesn’t put up with anyone’s bullshit. He takes names, kicks ass, and fucks bitches.
Wally said I could use that Dawn Stone on a male Kirlia if I had one. I did have a male Kirlia at one point. It became the very same Mega Gardevoir that beat his Mega Gallade.
Matthew Breach me lol I planned on getting one early at first but decided it'd be better to just wait for the battle with wally cuz it would be more memorable that way
They NEED to make a sequel to this game, new characters a new plot involving new pokemon, possibly a connection to the Kalos Region using a boat. Adult Wally and champion! Plus you get to double battle Brendan and May.
The thing that gives me chills every time is the fact that the music doesn't stop on transition into the battle like man it's such a departure from the series as a whole and it's used to make this moment super powerful, I love it
This is one of my favorite battles in the game! I love how confident and determined Wally is now that he's come so far as a Pokemon trainer, and that he even got the power to Mega Evolve his starter Pokemon. Well done, my boy. Well done. *tears of joy*
I remember when I first battled Wally in the original games, I just viewed him as another trainer. But he became so much more alive to me in this game! I love this game so much!
Ikr. He really deserved to win here, I feel like this should have been a "forced loss" moment for the player with Wally still letting you pass. That way it proves how fierce determination and passion can be your best tools to chase your ambition, for both the winner AND the loser
Wally is my favorite rival next to Silver. The reason for that is he along with Silver are the only rivals that ACTUALLY change over the course of the game. You don't see that too often.
the dialogue pre battle, the music, the mega evolution showdown at the end, it was just awesome. I could totally imagine an episode like this just like how it looked like swampert was about to lose it endured the last hit for a comeback! awesome vid omega
God this was an amazing scene. Ended the fight with Mega Sceptile vs Mega Gallade. And afterward, I took the dawn stone, and in honor, evolved the male Lv. 5X Kirlia I had right there, just as he wanted. Keep it up, Game Freak. :D
This was such an epic well done moment for the game. Seeing first had the character development that Wally got as he grew and the amazing soundtrack that perfectly accompanied it, starting out calm and soft every time you met him before this then suddenly getting a much more powerful version in the end.
That was my favourite battle compared to the others in these new Pokemon Games ! This music is so epic ! It show the determination that Wally have. Great fight Omega !
this whole fight was so atmospheric, in a sense it almost felt out of place, but goddamn if it isn't one of the best fucking fights in the whole series. everything to the music to the red flowers (any instance where i see red petals reminds me of the last fight in mgs3 honestly) comes together to create an amazing fight topped off with wally's mega gallade
I can honestly say this was the most emotional battle I've experienced since the first time I faced a champion. (Cynthia, if anyone cares.) Seriously, I wanted to root for Wally while I was battling him. I've never wanted the other person to win like that.
From a cowardly little trainer to a legendary trainer from Hoenn known around the world (suggested in Sun and Moon battle tree) Biggest glow up in the Pokémon universe
God, this battle felt much better than any other battle in the entire game, I just think it was amazing how Wally came such a long way and he's all pissed-0ff and determined, when he looks at his pokeball and nods, it's like "YEAAAAAH!"
This is why this game is my favorite. After beating him here, knowing all the character development he went through, I felt bad. Wally is underrated as a rival.
Damn, Gamefreak, you're getting all cinematic with your battles and stuff. An epic battle with an amazingly developed character in a flower field. Mmm, the theme, the setting, and the battle itself is so darn epic. I can't wait to see the battle against Steven and hear that remixed theme.
I was like... dude.. I don't wanna battle you, but in honor to you I'll battle as hard as possible, and in my game we had a same level mega gardevoir vs mega gallade battle, it was awesome, both evolving at the same time, jeez, when I beat him I just said, sorry man...
That moment when he closes his eyes and the music stops...Then he reopens them and the best poke theme of all time kicks in gave me the chills. When I saw the mega stone I was like the Joker, I said " Come on, do it...I want you to..."
