I got my first shiny yesterday! A Geodude from cooking in the normal cooking pot. I just started playing the game, and didn't notice it until the "Get a shiny Pokémon" achievement popped up. :D

I've only obtained one shiny, my Beedril who I named Honey because I knew that was the only way to remind me that it's shiny! I noticed right away that it's color was off. Out of paranoia of foddering the wrong Pokemon, I check EVERY Pokemon I'm about to use for training to make sure that it is definitely the one that I want to use.

I’m the same way. Even if I know it’s not shiny, I double check just incase. I save ALL of my shiny Pokémon in every game. I have over 50x Shiny Eevee in Pokémon Go LOL which is the most of any 1x shiny in any of my Pokémon games Lol

Another way to notice if you’ve got a shiny is of when a Pokémon comes to your base camp there will be an ! next to the quests button and it should say that you got a shiny

A good way to shiny hunt for absolutely FREE is changing the date on ur system a day farther and random poke will come. You can do this multiple times and you get free energy by this method too! Not pm tickets though

Once i accidentally sacrificed a shiny Mankey because i thought it was weak and i didn't notice the slight tinge of green. A few days ago i discovered that the Mankey was shiny as i was looking through my pokedex and tapped on the Mankeyto hear its cry and noticed the colour change. Then i realized what i had done :(

I got a shiny seel recently and I still haven’t finished the story. I actually got it out of the blue and actually didn’t notice because it is just about the hardest shiny to notice the difference but I did notice because I got the reward for getting your first shiny.
