When I was a kid, I would turn off my Pokemon game everytime the move Perish song was used because I thought that my Pokemon would perish forever after 3 turns.
@@FlankYouMuch exactly my thought lol. y’all should try the Radical Red rom hack. that setup is stupid good - like brock running guts toxic orb at the first gym good. and the AI picks up on your expected moves and will change pokémon based on predicted outcomes
Hahahaha nope all that matters is if you have a team of 6 mac IV and EV trained legendary Pokemon with mega Rayquaza being one of them. No teams can stand against that.
If we allow hacking, I could win this fight just with a level 1 Shedinja with Sturdy. Moves Endeavor, Rain Dance and Quick Attack. It's really not impressive winning with hacks.
Imagine how deadly and underrated a move like perish song would be in the natural Pokémon world.. just walking around singing perish song and all pokemon dropping dead behind you lol.
@@TheCheshireblack calm mind would raise up attack and defence i believe then baton pass would switch your pokemon with another pokemon on your party but baton pass allows the stats to go too like all the calm mind effects get carried over to the other pokemon. And substitute will allow the substitute to take hits instead of the pokemon. Let say you had that team with magikarp it can sweep the entire team with one hit with flail and bellydrum
@@nikolast7476 Most of the time, Ash gets his badges by doing other stuff rather than defeating the trainer. For example - He got the Cerulean City Gym Badge by saving the Gym from Team Rocket rather than defeating Misty.

No the actual reason he is silent because hes the player character from gen 1 and 3 and the player character never speaks so thats why Red is always silent
Surfing Pikachu could be legitimately obtained way back in gen 1. I have like seven of them that I got from beating the prime cup in pokemon stadium. Used to trade them to friends but since everyone just hacks for them it’s not unique really.
I wasnt expecting baton pass to pass perish song(including the remaining turn) in gen 4 This may be a rom hack, but baton pass still does it in the official game lmao
@@Adam-gv1xi A lot of these Pokemon can't be obtained legitimately at level 1 (like Politoed and Shedinja). Politoed also didn't get Drizzle until Black and White. So these Pokemon have been hacked
Red, the most legendary Pokemon trainer in the known regions Kanto and Jhoto and possibly beyond, suffered his biggest and most bitter defeat to an unknown trainer from New Bark Town. Red would fall into a deep depression, spending his days in Celadon City, gambling and drinking his earnings away until he had no money left. To fuel his habits, he would sell his Pokemon, but he would eventually find himself broke again. Alone and depressed, Red sits in a dark alley as the rain pours down on top him, holding a bottle of rare candies in his hand. Realizing this was the end for him, he downed the bottle of rare candies all at once. In his final moment, all he could think about was how the hell some nobody trainer with a team of level 1's managed to get the best of him. So ends the story of Red, the fabled trainer from Pallet Town whose tragic fall from grace would be a testament to young trainers that just because your pokemon is higher level and knows stronger attacks, does not mean they are better. That pokemon are only as strong as their trainers make them to be.

Seeing this makes me feel like im looking at a creepypasta character point of view, like imagine that, you're all beefed out, lv100s and all and just get destroyed by nothing but level 1s, and we all know its possible, it's just something that can leave you in a state of mind like "What the f*** kind of a sick joke is this?!" @@thelegomaster3378 Perish Song is a move where both the user and the opponent dies in three turns, normally the AI knows this and will switch out in the last turn, however having a Trapinch with Arena Trap will.. well trap the opponent which in turn will kill every single one member of Red's team. Because it's easily spammable, you can see that Red could probably really get frustrated to see himself getting destroyed by Perish Trap.
Would be interesting to see someone try Lock On, Sheer Cold (or other OHKO move), and Focus Sash. I would imagine this is pretty winnable if you can have all your pokemon have those three things.
You know, while the perish song/protect/focus sash thing was neat, I still find the AI for Red in this kind of impressive too. It was smart enough to make him switch pokemon that had super effective moves whenever Shedinja came out, and he switched out pokemon that had low perish counts on a couple of occasions too. The times he didn't were usually when it seemed he could knock one of the other pokemon out. Maybe it's just me, but I haven't really come across an in-game battle with an NPC that was this...aware? Strategic? I don't know what word I could use to describe it. The point is, I want to see this level of AI, or more, in the games.
The Shedinja switching thing isnt exclusive to Red, every trainer will switch their pokemon to one that has a super effective move against Shedinja, and stop switching if they dont have anything
