*Just a heads up* When using the destiny knot it transfers 5 random IVs from both parent Pokemon, not just the one holding the item. That was worded incorrectly.

every time someone says they have normal type ditto safari they NEVER give you their friend code unless you have dittos. its not fair help me RISE AGAINTS THE DITTOS

I bred a 5 iv adamant Infernape with a ditto safari and a 0 iv Infernape to start.

oh my god i was trying to breed a 0 iv honedge and THE FIRST egg I hatched was a shiny!!! my ditto is not even from another region! I'm so happy XD

Unsure about my future playing pokemon unless they remove iv's they are a pointless waste of peoples time and honestly its getting rather annoying even with improvments spending 3 hours of my time just running around is completely against the point of playing a game for fun ev's arent so bad it takes about 20 min with super training but I honestly dont get ivs they are a pointless stat

If you fly to the middle of Lumiose City, you can get on a bike and bike around the tower by sticking a dime under the circle-pad to the left or right so it continually move. All you have to do is just press A when the eggs hatch. Better than back and forth on route 7

I think the destiny knot picks 5 random IV-stats from the parent it is attached to. Those stats might also not be the same ones. So theoretically it might transfer the same stat 5 times instead of 5 different ones. At least that's how I understood it from reading other guides.

I'll be breeding perfect iv and jolly gibles starting today and most likely be starting charmander and squirtle and bulbasaur today as well.

I dont know if someone said this already or not but you can get perfect IVs on your pokemon without a ditto friend safari. you just need a friend safari that has pokemon that are in the same egg group as the one you are IV breeding. For example if you want a Charizard with Perfect IVs you just need a freind Safari with other pokemon in the "Monster" or "Dragon" Egg groups such as ekans, squirtle, ryhorn, axew, kangaskhan and so forth. Just catch a bunch of males with IVs in different places, and make sure that between the group of them there's a Perfect IV in each of the 5 or 6 stats you want. Then basically just follow the directions in this video. Just breed them with the female charizard, using the Destiny knot and an everstone (to keep the nature you want) and keep replacing the parents with the stronger children. Eventually you'll get the pokemon you want with the 5 perfect IVs you want. I've done it with just the destiny knot and an everstone. Using a ditto is better because you can than use it to pass on those IVs to any other pokemon but I just wanted to mention that ditto wasn't absolutely necessary.

In the Kiloude City pokemon center, there is a guy that will judge the IVs of your Pokemon. Do it for the parents, breed, and then do it with any hatched Pokemon to make sure you got the IVs you want.

Oh my gosh! Hey shofu, I've just bred a *6IV female Machop with No Guard*!!! I didn't know how the Sp. Atk IV came in, but it's let alone a female and has No Guard when both parents have Guts! I'm wondering the odds of actually getting one, but hey, what's the luckiest Pokemon you guys' ever bred? I felt like I got the 'Christmas Luck'. :) Merry Christmas anyway!

Well if you think about it, now that you have all adamant lavitars, and since your ditto has perfect Attk, Spd and HP IVs, choose from your bred lavitars, the ones with good HP, Attk or Spd IVs to match. That way you can guarantee that regardless of the parent which the IV is bred from, your newly bred lavitar possess those perfect IVs

I have a male ferroseed with perfect hp, attack, and special defense. And a female ferrothorn with perfect defense and special attack. If I breed those two while one is holding the destiny knot will they eventually have a baby ferrothorn that is perfect at all those stats minus speed?

The Baby Pokemon like Azurill, Budew, Chingling, Mantyke, Mime Jr. and Riolu have around 3-5 Max IVs in the wild.

me thort that the pie chart in the S.T the part that dosent change when your pokeon gets EVs was the pokemons IVs ? same for the stats that have colour names in the summary screen

I'm trying to breed a good absol but the Des. Not is not in my favor so I'm using the power things And I check multiple time to see that I'm putting the attack brace to the atk parent and speed to the speed parent but it not passing down after 3 boxes so I'm confuse am I'm doing something wrong?

Does the nature of my hatching pokemon (talonflame) affect the nature outcome? Ive hatched like 100+ so far trying to get a modest pokemom and no luck, my talonflame is modest so im wondering if its bugging out or something

I made a 6iv breloom then i gave it a destiny knot i bred it with a an adamant jumpluff and i gave it an everstone i got a hoppip from an egg and it had 3 max iv

if you raised, then bred the perfect attack and special attack with the perfect hp and speed, then used the destiny knot could you get a larvitar with perfect atk, sp atk, hp and speed? or am i thinking of this the wrong way?

hi i have a question i have a ditto with the iv HP: 29 - 30 Att: 29 - 30 Def: 31 SpA: 31 SpD: 20 - 22 Speed: 31 (from metakid) is it worth it to try and get the 31 iv in hp and att or should i not bother

What if say, I wanted to breed for a perfect Talonflame, but the only parents available only have 1 IV, is there any chance that the offspring will have both the IV's of the parents? Also I do't understand the destiny knot.

Hi shofu! Just wanted to tell you and the pokeworld that actually when an egg is ready the day care man looks towards the road and not inside the fench. ;)

You don't always transfer 5 IV's with the destiny knot, its just that you can transfer up to a max of 5 instead of 3 without it.

An easier way for the hatching process is to go to the middle of Lumiose City and place a penny or small object on the 3DS circle pad and the character will ride around the Gym by itself. Its a fast and easy process. Make sure the path isnt blocked by people or that Diggersby Tho!

5:00 Pro Tip. For hatching Pokemon, Go to Lumios City's centre plaza. Get on your bike. Set up some sort of weight Mechanism to put pressure onto the left d pad button without you actually having to hold it, go watch some anime/wtvr while you wait. I use my wallet for a platform, my iPhone to rest on the D pad and a half full glass of something or other for weight, You can use wtvr is handy and hefty.

1 Question, if you have a second evolution with a good nature and you give it an everstone, will it still work?

im huge pokemon fan but when it comes to iv's here is how i see it you keep hatching but then when the judge says its perfect you start to celebrate but then you find a new guy to breed then the procces restarts the circle of iv breeding

If I want a Modest Froakie, do I want the Ditto to be Modest as well, or should I be catching an adamant Ditto?

*When *you *if *IV After you beat the elite four, there is a guy in the Kiloude City pokemon center that will inspect the IVs of a pokemon. If he mentions anything good about a stat, such as attack, or speed, it has perfect IVs in that stat.

Shofu you could do the Lumiose City Coin if you want to hatch eggs without being on it.

How many eggs did you go thru until you got the perfect IVs, cuz I've been trying to breed a Gastly for awhile n still nothing?

To breed, do both parent Poke'mon have to be the same species? Or can I breed a male Absol with like, a female Magikarp? If so, is it a random egg species, or the same as the M or the F?

Will somebody please tell me about Dream World abilities? All I want to know is can I change a pokemon's ability in there or do I have to catch a Pokemon to get a dreamworld ability. All of this EV, IV stuff is fine but if I have to catch a pokemon in the dream world with decent IVs(I honestly want them to be perfect) and then EV train it(that part's not so bad anymore) then I'm just going to use AR(boo me all you want)

My pokemon have the most random ev's, I went through the whole story with them and only them. Experience share was on most of the time too.

The destiny knot actually transfers 5IVs from BOTH parents not 1. I looked it up on serebii. That why your first larvitar didn't have any 31IVs from Ditto which would be impossible if the destiny knot only inherited IVs from 1 parent since ditto has three 31Ivs
