I think a lot of them seem to be playing lower stakes at first, get a few wins and build up their bank roll then think "wow I'm really good at this!", start playing higher stakes and lose thousands followed by "tilt!" and kiss goodbye to tens of thousands.
maybe he had something like starshelper/caption and auto click "yes" on and late(missclick)regged some bigger main event while intending to rail someone
the only thing i can think of is if you stop playing poker for awhile, then u can run neutral, but then it wouldnt show that in the graph right? cause ur not playing any hands at all and theres nothing to record
+wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww To me it just looks like he played one big buy in tournament. If he got staked for it, it's probably not the disaster that it looks like.
I dont think the person with that graph has suffered at all, looked like he used fairly ok bankroll management at first, he bought into a big buy in game because he got staked or won big somewhere else most likely
Exactly, people think just because your sharkscope graph is in negative that your a horrible player, when they dont factor the satelites and I think they only track tourniments not cash games so if he had 3500 on tourniment winnings he could have easily trippled it in the cash games I play at Global for around 2 years now I have a negative graph but still cashed out over the losses of my tourbiment play but this graph is prolly the best of all of them proving that you shouldn't judge a player by the graph jus by where it is now, look me up on global (ToldU2Fold) I've never played anywhere else and I just learned how to play the game in 2017 ( i kno ) but when I first started and knew absolutely nothing 1500 games later I'm trying to grind the graph to green this year my problem was I started with too high steaks instead of building a roll w proper BRM
The worst is really the one at 0:22... Loosing 400K in 375 games... That's insane! I imagine the dude "You know what honey, i've no freakin idea what i'm doing and have never been a single second in positive but still, today i feel lucky, i will mortgage our damn house for the 3rd time and cash in 400K on this poker site. What do you mean I can hardly count? Stop being so negative all the time, i'm not a goddamn idiot, am I? Trust me, by tomorrow, we will be rich." O_o
sharkscope doesn't work, the other day i was winning (on sharkscope) 150€, today i won 60€ and it says i am losing 250 € ... Then I've realised that it may have withdrawn about 300+€ from my graph because he might have counted the buy-ins from the SCOOP events (where I didin't make ITM) on PS.it even though i qualified via tickets. Have you also noticed it withdraws money from non itm tournaments you played by tickets and not by actually paying huge buy ins??!?!? Please answer..
Don't forget that some qualifiers are not mentioned in the sharkscope. For example I won a 500FPP VIP Bash > 5000FPP > 700$ ticket.. This didn't put +700 in sharkscope, though if I lost the 700$ TCOOP I wld make a -700$ drop, which is actually 500fpp ;). This guy may qualified for a event like this (4k$) or he decided to risk it all and buy-in for once =D..
The sad thing is, a lot of them start with a really good spike and then it just shoots downwards, I wonder if they didn't run good in that one tournament way way back when would they have lost so much trying to get that back.
That reminds me. I was playing in some micro bounty builder and a player who seemed like a reg up to this point donk bet 77 into me on QQK94. He bet around half pot on flop turn and potted river. After trying to figure out how that was a good play(like i said he seemed like a reg) I looked him up. he was down 55k with avrg buy in of $14. Isn't there a point where you stop?
my graph is breakeven but i'm in profit... simply beacause the big downline in my graph is made by vpp exchanged in ticket...sharkscope don't know if you pay your buy in whit vpp, ticket, steps, promo, cash game winnings... i play mostly freeroll and turnament under 2€ buy in, but sometimes i take a big shot(relative to 50€ maximum) when there is some promo in vpp tournament ticket or simply i win more than 500€ in cash game, i think the graph it's only a basic guideline.. but it's not so important in some case.. obv imho
1st off i would want to know if i can play (Which i can't because i am from NY) 2nd i would want to know if i cash out and for how much and how long does it take...But since number 1 is not true i could careless about anything else but thanks anyway.
I think what your saying is split pots? sure thats possible, but impossible to happen in a regular fashion like on graph that is 48seconds into the video...PLUS, split pots you actually lose money because split pots are always raked, so the graph would show a loss once agian
The graph isn't profit over time but rather profit over games played. You can't escape it if you lose a tourney but you can opt out on Sharkscope. I know both sharks and fish that have opted out.
while sharkscope is a good tool it also is not accurate in many ways like shows I'm a loosing player -1500 but here is the kicker I only ever dep 450 and still have 250 in my BR so its not recording everything obviously I am a loosing player but not that badly. so take there stats with a grain of salt
See i have this thing called google and i can google who can play on which site. There are like 5 states that are not allowed to play on carbon poker. (i think NY players are not allowed on the entire merge network which carbon poker is part of.) There may be player from new york on there but that because they joined 2 years ago or more...
wtf is up with 1:00 graph? It looks like whenever he lost money along the way, he won it back and was breakeven. The graph barely goes down and stays there (besides the obvious part lol)
@@webguy943 I think I was referring to the upward trend, it's strange. Whenever he loses money he wins it back to breakeven and slowly wins more. There's hardly any peaks in winnings from games 300-750, it's a slow trend upwards
If they did it this way, they would lose money to rake. So 5% of all that moneys would just go down the drain. Also you can just transfer up to like 1K USD to other players anyways.
I miss sharkscope as an american new york player...Feel free to sharkscope my name under pokerstars :-) Where should i play as a new york player in the United states...
Poker sites usually offer a self exclusion possibility but most of these degenerate players will never admit they have a problem. The site lets them ruin their lives and relationships as long as they can make money off it. They see who's playing 9hours per day, losing at a huge rate. A friend of mine is one of them. I'm rooting for a site that offers voluntary bankroll restrictions (quit 1 hour after losing 2 buy ins) and playing time restrictions (6 hours per day max)
It's not fake. There are tournament players who legitimately are too shit to ever make the money. Even when on God-Run, they are still liable to shit away their big stack. There are just some nightmarishly bad players. Most of them degen gamblers that can't stop. It's a little bit sad.
i lost $550 in 2 days due to bad motherfucking beats every 15 minutes. I earned it by grinding for three full weeks, still this doesnt quite make me feel better
+wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Haha that's true. Started off when I was drunk though
That seems to be the case, it starts you off with a nice ROI, than all of a sudden your at a -ROI, if you want to play poker sites and give away your money to some crooks, go right ahead and do it, I believe those poker sites are not rigged at all, I also believe in Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny(hence the sarcasm)
