There is a good reason for this. When you are living in Europe and have so many neoghbors, there is always someone that does something better. You Say we have good digitalization of some official matters. We have Estonia nearby that does it better. You Say we have good roads. We have Germany thats pracitcly world class in that regard, etc.... Its no wonder we complain so much.

No, Warsaw never remembered Chisinau, even in the communist era (also, because it is the town with a very different history and mentality). And in the mid-90s it was an incredibly fast developing city, with lots of interesting solutions, great public transport and so on. Of course, Warsaw was not as rich as it is today (now it is one of the richer regions of the EU - in 2021 the GDP of Warsaw alone was equal to 80% of the GDP of all of Ukraine), but the attitude of people to it was similar to what it is today (a human being like an individual, citizen, customer - is the most important, and the city, state, shop - are to improve his life). They have always cared about their city and life in it. There were no such contrasts as in Chisinau (ostentatious wealth alongside deep poverty). In Polish cities, both the city center and distant districts develop similarly, they are all cared for. The first years of the transformation from communism (1989-1994) were difficult, but each year was strikingly better than the previous one, and changes were happening quickly.

Still the online government systems suck a lot and are very cumbersome in design and user friendliness. That is because government officials are clueless about IT and are unable to demand appropriate level of effort from companies that develop them!

I tried to do my business application online for a month and it kept failing and nobody can help I finally made an appointment at the office and they did it in an hour and she said you'll have approval in an hour and sure enough. As for the taxes pay the $250 a month and get an accountant.

Dental care is cheaper in Eastern Europe but have you compared incomes? It is all relative. I know people flying to Poland from N.A. because dentist is cheaper here.

@@charonboat6394 incomes matter, of course. For tourists or emigrants it might be cheap, but for locals it is expensive. But even considering the income differences, I've heard the same thing from Ukrainians, Armenians, Russians, etc. This also applies to beauty care as well: women say that getting their nails or hair done is cheaper, faster and the quality is higher in their home country. But overall, yeah, I guess these are only small details. Overall their opinion about their home countries are similar to James'.

@@123pgq in the west the dentists are making deals with producers of dental stuff and they provide them with pretty expensive products to make people pay more. That's one is the reasons, those big companies manipulating the market for their benefit. In Poland it's still not like that and I hope it won't be.

Last night I was looking in RU-vid for the coverage, in English, of December 1981. I thought that's when it was and it looks like that is when it was. Bardzo wiele rzeczy na przyklad przepisy VAT albo sposób rozliczania samochodów albo przepisy amortyzacji albo wypełnianie skomplikowanych dokumentów na 500 pół I takich bzdur sa tysiące a za każdym razem nie wiesz czy nie łamiesz prawa a urząd podatkowy aktywnie zaklada pułapki na podatkikow aby móc ich potem ukarać, np w postaci przepisów o obniżeniach podatków od działalności badawczej i rozwojowej, uznaniowości stawek ryczałtu czy karty podatkowej albo zwyczajnie prawa do wpisania kosztu wg uznania urzędnika

@@gonzommz1739 To, co wprowadzili w ramach Polskiego Ładu okazało się strasznym burdelem😉. Trochę kruczków podatkowych jest, nie wiem, czy jest to bardziej skomplikowane niż w innych krajach. Księgowość wszędzie jest podobna. Każdy system ma plusy dodatnie i plusy ujemne. Ale muszę przyznać, że w tej chwili sprawy z urzędem skarbowym da się w większości załatwić "bez osobistego stawiennictwa".

That's why he's going to open an LLC - this way you don't have to pay anything to the ZUS. On the other hand - the cost of accountant shall be at least 500 PLN per month so it's not the ideal option either.

do you really think citizens of other countries are not paying for their social security, public healthcare and so on? these services have to be paid somehow. Many people in the US don’t pay for their private healthcare and it’s a leading cause of personal bankruptcy and poverty, cause you can pay thousands of dollars for just one visit. To them 4000 is a joke

@@marvju209 no żeby otrzymać zezwolenie na pobyt czasowy na 15 miesięcy musiałem czekać 10 miesięcy, to trudno uwierzyć że w jakimkolwiek kraju może być dużo gorsze...i taka sytuacja już przez ostatnie 10 lat
