@@uselessdegenerate7565 the source is that not everything is a Disney film. Polar bears may look cuddly but they will eat anything in their environment. They will literally deliberately hunt down humans when they see them and chase people into their houses, and they can wait around for days just for the person to leave their house in order to eat them. So yeah a polar bear eating a dog is not that absurd even if they did seem like “friends” they will even cannibalise one another when given the chance
I've worked with dogs for over 25 years. Respectfully, I'd like to say, the first rule of play is that everyone has the ability to get away to a safe place if they feel a need (opposite of being chained up). Next, not all those dogs are completely enjoying the interactions, namely the white dog towards the end. His body language is clearly expressing some distress. And the polar bear is clearly expressing some dominance. However, because the dog is chained up, he can not get away, so he has to make nice and hope for the best. The dogs should always have an option to get away to a safe place, or not play
I agree. It looks like the dogs are just chained up out in the open and are trying to survive the bears. If it were me I think I would be looking at something like a rubber bullet for those bears. It is my responsibility to look out for my dogs.
Have you only work with dogs thsy were approached to you? Because outside dogs like these huskies need to be chained up. If they aren't. They will go where evee they want. They're not like cats who'll always go back to their homes. Huskies will wonder off if not directed. The husky in nature are domesticated and working dogs. They are still pets. But they're not golden retievers. They are in fact very gentle and highly intelligent. But because they can get restless if they're inside too long without moving around they need the outside and fresh air.
I read about this somewhere and the dogs got actually killed by the polar bears later. Some guy who brings the dogs and chains them to play with the polar bears to take pictures he sells for money. First they play, then bears maul the dogs and eat them. So yeah it ain't cute cuddling.
What actually happened was that some officers were worried about the situation and relocated most of the bears. That group of local bears had been a deterrent for bears from other areas crossing through, so without them there a "foreign" bear got in and killed the dogs. Before the officers stepped in, there had been virtually no issues in 20+ years of doing it.
That Is So Horrible! I Did Not Think This Was a Friendly Encounter! Those Bears Looked Like They Wanted To Eat That Dog! Those Poor Beautiful Dogs!! I Would Have SHOT THose Bears!!I Wish The Humans That Did That To Those Beautiful, Helpless Dogs, Could Be Chained For The Bears To Eat!!
Brian Ladoon died five years ago - his huskies were taken in by his ex partner . It was totally out of order of him to tie his dogs up and leave them vulnerable to attack . Rest in peace to the dogs who became dinner for these hungry polar bears .
Yes, you're absolutely right. It was terrifying for those poor doggos who knew that they were on the menu. The polar bears were only acting nice in front of the dumb human because they knew that the dumb human could shoot them with that thunder whacker contraption so they waited for the dumb human to turn his back on them so that they could begin to chow down...I say chow down on some fresh hotdog doggo meat!!!
do you honestly believe that? fear? those are wolf dogs. whatever man. they are on another plane like many other animals - connected to the spirit world
@@aaroncapricorn5867 do you honestly believe that? these are sled dogs and are bait for bears. Some bears might come and play, then others come and eat the dogs, polar bears are more sociable than the rest of bears and they communicate where is potential food to others. I mean look at the gestures of them dawgs
They were a while later. The dogs owner kept leaving food out that the bears would eat. One day the owner(Brian Ladoon) failed to leave food out and the dogs got eaten.
@@marley1995 Hey genius I see you are talking out of your arse. Working dogs have kennels or boxes with hay in them. Not chained to the dirt so the bears can see them from 800 yards.
The bear killed a few dogs later..,I believe the man was feeding the bears and attracting them to his dogs,Which then associated the dogs with feed,Which caused them to eat a dog.
These dogs are chained and are vulnerable to being attacked and killed by the bears. In fact, many are! Something that is seldom mentioned in the videos, photos and stories of 'polar bears and dogs playing'. In this video, the last scenes show a frightened dog and an increasingly aggressive bear and I find it hard to understand some of these comments that display warm and fuzzy emotions - are people just seeing what they want to see?
I didn't realise you graduated with an animal psychology degree... please tell more of your vast knowledge! Are you a dog whisperer? Did they show you where the polar bears touched them with a doll?
I agree.....I was getting afraid for that wolf being trapped in his arms. The little play started to get more rough and agressive and the dog was starting to feel uncomfortable and clearly wanted to get out of there. That was upsetting for me. These are wild animals and you never know what they gonna do next. Play can change into something else quickly. These dogs are chained....they don't stand a chance if some bear gets it into his head to attack.
While a few moments of this video were kind of cute (when the bear was on his back and the dog was licking him), the end of that video was VERY disturbing. That poor dog was afraid and trying to get away.
Exactly. Any unchained dog that sees a bear coming towards it, takes off running the other way. These dogs had no choice but to literally play dead(ultra submissive), while being alive.
Agent Kansas632 He’s taking too big of a risk. He doesn’t need that many dogs and I’ve read that he’s had dogs already killed. They shouldn’t be chained and we don’t even know how they are treated. Could they be always chained outside and live in the cold?
It was discovered the guy was feeding the bears and therefore without hunger driving it to hunt, the dogs were playmates as opposed to dinner. He was caught doing this and once stopped, the dogs were eaten. There are plenty of gruesome photos and witness accounts of it happening. The guy is an asshole for doing this to the bears as well as the dogs, but I guess he got the 15 minutes of fame that he was after.
But interestingly according to comments a lot of people find it funny . Those soulless psychopathic ones should be isolated from normal people and live amongst their own kind. They are evolutionary still animals.
The guy who owns the dogs is Brian Ladoon. Several people and organizations claim that he uses the dogs as bait to get bears to come to his property and then he charges tourists for bear watching. Feeding the bears is illegal but as a dog breeder Ladoon can chain the dogs up in the open and feed them and if bears wander in and eat the food, which they do, he isn't legally liable. He does have dogs killed by the bears and if I remember correctly one of the dogs that were in the "frolicking" video was killed by a bear eventually that day. Ladoon claims that he is just a breeder and that he can't help it if the bears happen to wander in and eat excess food that is left out for the dogs and that it isn't his fault if some of the dogs are killed and eaten by bears.
No less than every single sound the dogs make is a textbook dog sound of fear and concern, and these are large husky / malamutes. The dogs are chained to the ground in the open in a frozen coastal environment with wild polar bears. In the video the guy says the polar bears are "quite gentle as a rule" after talking about shooting special ammo at the bears to keep them away from him. What I'm trying to say is this isn't even accidentally cruel. This guy is a lying sadist who is chaining up dogs to be slaughtered by wild bears.
@@Greenstrtjs87 well just because there are no videos on Zhengzhou experiments doesn't mean Japanese imperialists didn't make disgusting stuff to Chinese people during ww2...
As an owner of several dogs, that last part seems to me as if the polar bear wants to mount the husky. One of my Shepards once put a small dog between its legs and then attacked it and with its paws starting digging at it as if trying to bury the poor dog. Sometimes what appears to start out as benign behavior quickly escalates to something else. Polar bears are still wild animals.
@Sarah Plummer Basically Joe Exotic then... Thanks for the info now it makes sense why they seemed so comfortable with the dogs, I can't fathom the amount of stupidity in FEEDING WILD BEARS, they are smart, confident, large and powerful if you miss out on feeding they will be going for the initiative.
Guys, despite the cute music, the reality is that the situation you described is not a game or a harmless interaction between two animals. It is a dangerous and potentially deadly situation for the husky. Polar bears are powerful predators and can easily cause serious injury or death to a chained husky or other animal. It is never appropriate to chain a dog or other pet in an area where it is at risk of being attacked by a wild animal. If you are in an area where polar bears or other dangerous animals are present, it is important to take appropriate precautions to protect yourself and your pets. This may include using bear-proof fencing or enclosures, carrying bear spray, and being aware of your surroundings at all times. It is also important to remember that wild animals, including polar bears, should be respected and treated with care, and it is never appropriate to harass or harm them. While this video may seem adorable, if you use Google, you'll see hundreds of images of wild polar bears brutally murdering chained huskies. These kinds of incidents can be prevented by not allowing dogs to be left outside unattended in areas where they are at risk of being attacked by wild animals. It is also important to be aware of the risks posed by wild animals in your area, and to take appropriate precautions to protect yourself, your pets, and the animals. It is never appropriate to intentionally put any animal in harm's way, and it is important to treat all animals, including wild animals, with care and respect.
Polar bears are the most vicious and aggressive of bears. Mainly due to the enviroment they live in. Food is scarce and everything that can be consumed will be.
* Bear asks wolf : Do u have a problem with poop sticking to your fur after u take a shit. * wolf replies : No... * bear replies : Great !! Bear then grabs the wolf and wipes his(bear) ass !! hahahahaha **what a great joke right **
Nite-I hate the fact that the dogs are chained up, it like fast food for the Polar bear, the dogs are going along with it, because they have no choice!!!
Bill Warin You guys are a fucking joke. He aint some city-slicker. When you are trying to survive on the frontier you have to make some hard decisions. Dogs become a tool to be utilized, not a pet. Pretty easy for you cowards to talk shit coming from your spoiled lifestyle..... SMH you citidiots know nothing
Really, You do not know much about dogs - let's be honest. If You knew something about dogs body language You would be able to tell that those dogs are not terrified in any way. "Stockholm syndrome" in dogs? Let's get serious and on a even more serious note, do some research on dogs' body language, forward this clip to second 50 and re-write your comment. All the best!
+Sweederland Johnson Have you ever heard about bear lovers? Not all are freaking out on the perspective of being f*ed by a bear, especially if that's an alternative for being eaten, LOL.

*Cute as these scenes might seem, clearly a lot of people here haven't caught up with the back story to these cute and cuddly videos. On several occasions since this film was made, after **_'playing and wrestling'_** with Brian's rescue dogs, the polar bears went on to eat some of them alive. Due to it being illegal to kill or harm polar bears in the wild in Manitoba and elsewhere, Birdbrained Brian was initially cautioned by local police against keeping the dogs chained up like this.* *After another couple of dogs were eaten, the police had no choice but to arrest BB (Birdbrained Brian), and he was charged with gross animal cruelty. Thankfully, BB is no longer allowed to **_'rescue'_** retired huskies... thank God!*
A statement of facts is usually followed up by a link to prove the statement... Not 'assholes', Leonardo. If there is any 'asshole' here to refer to, it is in my opinion the guy in the video disrupting a natural habitiat by feeding the polar bears. He even got one of his dogs killed and eaten. You know what happened next? Both mother and cubs are torn out of their habitat because the behavior of the bears was becoming a concern due to the feeding...
This man's treatment of the bears caused them to be lured to his camp as a feeding haven, rather than in the wild. Those dogs were sacrificial... chained and unable to defend themselves by running. That is so sad.

+TheMangoGaming :D Yes, that's what brought me to the video. and I hope you're also thinking that if he wouldn't have started feeding the bears in the first, place to attract tourists, then it wouldn't have happened at all. He should not make the bears believe there is food to rely on like that. case in point what happens when he's sick another day and isn't there feed them? It causes a domino effect by doing such things. He won't live long enough to see the destruction I bet!

The bears & dogs became so friendly, until one day when there was no food around & the bears remembered their friends the dogs would help! So the bears visited their doggo friends, & when they came running up to them, the bears ate them The. End
That white dog is clearly horrified. I read 'if you want a guard dog dont chain them up cause they wont bark bc they know theyre vulnerable.' Someone posted the article below and from research it seem to be correct. That white dog isnt barking and it already is pulling the chain tight so it cant get away when it is clearly trying to. Even not knowing one was killed you can CLEARLY see something is wrong here. Anyone know which dog was killed? I heard it was not the white one or that bear and was surprised.
RU-vid is deleting comments lmao. The owner is clearly torturing those poor dogs and using them as food or the bears. I can't believe people are treating this like it's some joke. I'm reading all these comments and am beyond disgusted.
Although it looks cute, only reason the dogs are not eaten because the guy feeds the bears and keep them full. One day he forgot to feed the bears and they ate one of the dogs. He was feeding bears all along and charge fees to show it to tourists. This is really dangerous for these endangered bears because they will approach establishments thinking they will get food and will get shot by scared people.
AAD YOUR A LIAR. NONE OF THE DOGS WERE EVER EATEN. WHEN PEOPLE LIKE YOU, MAKE THINGS UP JUST TO TROLL A VIDEO. ITS PATHETIC. DON'T BELIEVE THIS IDIOT, PEOPLE. WHAT YOU GONNA DO NOW? BECAUSE YOU BEEN CALLED OUT ON YOUR BS.
this dude sells tickets to people to see bears on his property he loses 20 dogs every year to bears, not because bears wanted to eat the dogs of course, he kept plenty food around for the bears and the dogs, but because dogs were threat to the bears (especially cubs) that came to feed. That's also why he chained the dogs up.
Though I've not looked it up or anything I kinda am opting to believe you here.... Because when I was watching something really seemed off about how the dogs were chained. If he was worried about the dogs he wouldn't have them chained because if the polar bears get pissed off or something the dogs can't escape and clearly wouldn't be a match to fight.
No, I googled it. They're most certainly not friends. They're just not cutthroat towards each other. Many many many dogs die by both accidental kills and full attacks by the bears. The bears don't usually mean to kill the dogs but a single swipe can crush bones on a dog. The man who does this is an animal abusing monster but he gets away because the law enforcement turns the other cheek.
