Hello Polar. About the cycling - ble powermeter compatibility feature before maybe buying I would like to know. All three Polar watches Vantage M, Vantage V and Polar Grit x can be connected with a bike Powermeter over bluetooth as a sensor and record that data, according to the specifications. That specification feature is the reason why I have bought a Polar Vantage M watch so I 'm able to use it with my Powertap G3 smart powermeter ble hub and rear wheel. Only during my first cycling powermeter FTP sweet spot training after connecting Powermeter. I found out that the Polar vantage M watch does not show my live powermeter values. There simply is a data field for basic heartbeat current average and max. But there won't NOT YET be shown such a data field with Watts on it. Therefor I was not able to see if I was cycling under or above the required 300 Watts FTP programmed sweet spot training. Only when i'm done training afterwards Polar in the workout summery only shows the average & maximum delivered watts. My 3. question about the newer Polar grit x cycling features before buying for now are : 1. Is the newer Polar grit X once connected ot a powermeter sensor over ble able to show live power meter values in a data field during the bike training like GArmin's Forerunners anbd fenix watches allready can ? 2. If not, will there be a Polar firmware update for the flagship grit x or vantage V wich add a Powermeter Watts values data field during the cycling activity ? 3. Last but nor least Will you enabe the existing ant+ option for connecting sensors on the DUAL sensors communication chip or stick to bluetooth only (something dc Rainmaker likes to know also) ?
@Polar are you planning to add maps to the grid X pro? You added them to Grid X 2 pro; why not update the previous version? Specs are almost the same, and the display is capable of handling that?
I have a POLAR GRIT X-PRO. Is the display of crossroads and the indication "turn in 30 m" only possible with gpx files generated by Komoot? Because in my gpx files (which I generated with FatMap and not with Komoot) the watch does not provide me with this indication but only the path.
Hi! I think our customer care team can best support you with this issue. Please reach out to them via the link below, they are happy to help you further! support.polar.com/en/email_polar
I am frustrated! I can NOT CONNECT my grit x with Komoot! :-((( When I come to "GRANT ACESS" button, I press it but NOTHING happens!?! What am I doing wrong????
I had the same issue! you have to use the website and refresh the list. unfortunately the app doesn't have a proper refresh and wont show the new routes you added.
Hi there and thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear you've had some problems with route guidance. Have you already connected your Komoot and Polar Flow accounts in the Polar Flow web service (Settings > Partners > Komoot > Connect)? I recommend you to check this support page: support.polar.com/e_manuals/grit-x/polar-grit-x-user-manual-english/content/komoot.htm
I've found it, it is pretty hidden, considering that you cannot get your komoot routes from polar app without refresh in their website. Basically what worked for me, only website has refresh button besides komoot map list in the favourites, only this button gets the latest changes from komoot to the website app and later they would be shown in the pollar app itself, otherwise this is very , very unintuitive. If you only use flow app and komoot app, you will never get those routes synced to watch.
