Victorious victor Polaris triples are the best sounding, best performing sled engines. My '96 XLT Limited lasted 27,000 miles before it died, 23,000 of those miles with Reed valves, DG can and a lot of clutch work. She kept up with my buddies stock XC 700, and I would smoke anyone on the trails in NY, even new sleds. In the process of rebuilding, for another 27,000 miles and 21 years of abuse!!!
Nothin like a tripple man... they long legs and a powerband like no other when built right.. gave me the chills watchin it dance up that hill climb dident even start to work hard.. GO tripples (polaris)
I posted this vid of my bud originally on snowest, someone copied it to youtube. 1200 PSI engine based off a modified 1000 AC bottom end. Definitly the coolest sled I have ever rode. aprox 250HP %50 race gas
I still have my stock Indy RXL 1992, no mods have been done, other than it has a Kimpex track now. I just love the smell and sound of this machine. I have about 2 other complete engines for this one, so it will last me a lot of years. Nice video !
That looks like pretty set up snow. I rode an 800 with triple pipes/cans, reeds, head, porting, etc and it rode/handled very similar to that one. It was mainly suspension setup...but god those things have torque and run nasty when they're set up!
my 93 storm sound identical to this one in every way. I got psi modblasters on mine. I never though i would here another sled that sounds as sweet as mine. Kick ass sled brother gotta love the triples
The snow dosen't matter, everyone that knows what a snowmobile is knows that the triples are heavy. but they also know that a triple engine is the sweetest engine there is
@misterdestiny17 its a polaris storm 750. they were polaris first reed valve triple. They were a little underpowered for the 800 triple class. But with a few mods they were monsters. Ive got a ton done to mine and am running about 175-180hp. The motor this guy is using is similar to mine. almost identical bottem end just different port design.
I love triples! I have a piped 98 Mach 1 and its my favourite sled Ive ever ridden. Yes they are heavier than twins, but I think all the rumours and drama about them being too heavy got out of control. Yes, sometimes its a bastard when ya get stuck in the deep stuff, I guess ya just learn to stay out of trouble :) awsome video!
I believe you’ll need to set the gas and elevation on the carbs as it raises more into the atmosphere the gas runs very lean very bad especially for a triple cylinder sled but all in all looks like a lot of FUN!!!
best sounding polaris triples I've found on youtube, nice. Whats all done to the engine? one sounds nastier than the other haha, I love it. Now I need to make my machz 800 sound like that.
1) lightens up the front of the sled 2) more airflow to cool motor, pipes, clutch - is good 3) if you tip over or roll (easy to do when playing on slopes) your hood is still safe and sound rather than getting trashed like a bunch of plastic snow cookies not that I know from experience.... "nothing like the sound of three holes"
Damn thats sweetdiggin the ski lift all the way up the hill. P.S all you have to do is look at the colour of the heads to know what kind of sled it is...
Can you tell me some info on this beauty? Looks similar to my 01 rmk as in chassis, 1050 or a different mod motor , what chain case like tell about this
what mods have you done to gain this kind of power?? I've got a 98 XLT 600 with bigger exhaust, bigger nozzles, and heel clicker clutch kit. around 120 hp, but far from the power you've got!
maybe the quieter sled, but the other one has some serious mod's, Probably more than 800cc displacement. My 800 mod dynoed at 187hp, but it doesnt pull like the loud sled in this video.
i have a 2 questions i would like to no if its better to run my xlt with racing disc on clutch (belt doesnt cool as quik) or just leave it the way it is. my second is what is the best bore size for 1997 xlt 600 thanks
@@HaNg_ALL_ThE_tRaItOrS_hiGh merica made their own triple what happened? Oh their Indy lite, (mono block) terrible engine, not performance or powerhouse...was jus to save space...and the engine design was from where? Fuji is a high performance high output powerhouse with up graded bearings designed by? (Fuji) Fuji is NOT american i thought THAT would be obvious.. In the end your pride will make you look foolish when everyone knows where artic scrap and polaris got their good engines from...
