Update: We found better casters to use for this project. The single attachment point of the casters we used caused some deformation to the bottom of the box. Instead, you should opt for something with a flat plate for attachment. We ended up installing these: www.amazon.com/dp/B07V8DBJHP/...
We detail a Polaris RZR cooler and storage box setup on a budget in a two-part video. In the first part, we used the affordable Ozark Trail 26-quart High Performance cooler and the Polaris Lock and Ride system to keep our beverages cool and stationary in an inexpensive way. In this second part, we will show you how to use an inexpensive Rigid tool box from the Home Depot to store your trail essentials in the bed of your side by side.

Based on this I went for the Rigid boxes. Instead of the wheels I built a 4" tall plywood box to hold the "I don't care if it gets wet stuff". It gives the side clearance for the Rigid boxes on top. I didn't want to waste the 4" of usable space under the Rigid boxes. I'm looking for a molded plastic box that can do the same as the not-pro looking wood box.

Thanks for the videos, I am doing this same setup in my RZR. Do you find the need for the wheels on the tool box? Would a spacer made out of 2x4's do the trick?

Probably would work. You need the spacer definitely. A 2x4 might work with it's long side vertical.

Please help! I have the high lifter so snorkels are in the way of having two tool boxes. I opted for just the bottom box and can not find a good way to secure it. The lock and ride holes on the upper part you used are above my box handles so those won’t work. I put the lock bolts in the bottom and have fabricated the heck out of the box to make fit but it is a PITA to strap down to those. Very little room for my hands. Any ideas?

Maybe use the two tie down things on the top of the sides. That's what we use for the top box. If you put both sides in tension, it should stay put. You might also try using something larger to boost up the bottom. We ended up ordering some larger casters for ours.

how are the P350r tires doing??? just ordered some 29sr14s for my 900s. you still liking them??

They're doing well. They seem to wear quickly on asphalt but with a square setup, you can rotate to any position on the vehicle so they will likely still last longer than stock.

We only have experience with the Rigid box and we like it pretty well.

I may have missed it in the video but what size casters did you use?

We used... The wrong size. We need to do a follow-up video but the ones we used originally were 2" and because they used a single rod as the point of attachment, they started to cave in the bottom of the box over really rough terrain. I ended up finding some larger ones on Amazon. I think they're 3" but the best thing about them to avoid the problems we had is that they come with a plate for attachment. The bigger surface area allows you to spread your weight over a larger area and prevent any deformation on the bottom of the box. Great video and I am doing the same thing on my xp1000 but instead of casters I used Camco 44514 FasTen Leveling Blocks with T-Handle, 2 x 2 because I had extras laying around and they fit in my rzr xp1000 perfect

This is a great example of the philosophy here. The goal is to space up the box to prevent contact with the sides of the bed. Spacers, legs, casters... Whatever you choose will work.
