We have a 2009 Sportsman 850 and have put hundreds of miles on her but she's still sound. Runs and drives excellent, very good on Tug Hill. Thing is a monster. And guess I learn something new every day, I never knew they made a Sportsman 800
@@rockspowersports I just listened to some 800's on RU-vid and those and the 850's must have different crank pin angles/firing sequences because they both sound very different. The 850's sound like a 270° which makes them sound like a V-Twin, and the 800's must be a 360° judging by the sound. I wonder why they changed the engines like that
Great review thanks. I have this exact atv just slightly different trim. It’s a 2016 Sportsman 850sp HO in velocity blue. I bought it new in 2017. It’s still in excellent shape I barely have rode it. I will say I have the power steering and it really does help to keep the bar stablilized over bumps and jolts so I love it for that. I am planning some new tires but otherwise I leave it stock asis it fits the bill for what I do with it. Take care great videos as always 👋🇨🇦
@@rockspowersports I was very happy to get that colour when I was shopping it was actually hard to find. Green was common. I like the ride of the sportsman it’s very comfortable and stable it’s a big machine!
My 2021 850 just blew up at 3900km. The thing was absolutely babied and meticulously cared for. It’s back at the dealer, waiting to see if Polaris will cover it even tho it’s out of warranty (goodwill?). Here’s hoping.
I like your videos and the info you provide in them. I would like to see some stationary camera footage showing the quads going up the rock hill, mud and or snow sections. I'm subscribing!
Great videos thanks for sharing 👍 What are your thoughts on the older Polaris sportsman 600? Have you ever owned or rode the older Suzuki king quad 300 4x4? I own a 2000 Suzuki king quad 300 4x4 and it is a little tank!
I have a sportsman 600 that needs some work but I’ll be doing a video on it somewhat soon. They seem to be solid machines with good power. I haven’t tried a kingquad 300 but I’ve had a Suzuki quad runner 250 4x4 which is pretty much the same thing, and yes they are little tanks I really like the super low range and differential locks in them.
