I also like it vegetarian sometimes, so the choice often falls on delicious polenta talers. If you leave out the cheese and replace the butter with vegetable margarine, then this dish is not only vegetarian but also vegan. I almost always have a mixed salad as a side dish.

200 g corn grits
1 liter of water
½ to 1 teaspoon salt
Freshly ground pepper
Freshly grated nutmeg
Handful of grated parmesan cheese
100g butter (alternatively vegetable margarine)
