The chief constable for the Police Service of Northern Ireland, Simon Byrne, says that three men have been arrested after detective chief inspector John Caldwell was shot while coaching a youth football game.

Does this stuff happen a lot in NI? I live in England, and crime here is terrible, especially in the north (where I live lol) but rarely do cases involving guns ever happen. I imagine this is an isolated incident, but still, I’m curious.

Majority support ONH it’s the only republic paramilitaries that is in a ceasefire but is still active. Probably one of the most funded ira groups. Inla is the largest tho
