That is one reason small airports are closing and flying is in decline. People complain about the noise and they don't want to see aircraft flying around. But people also love to report other people to the authorities for code violations and all sorts of things. The complaint call to local governments never stop coming in. No wonder they don't have as much time for actual crimes.

The only thing I noticed that he did wrong was that he left his truck parked in the lake and the trailer completely submerged. If you did that in Nova Scotia, DNR would have it towed. The submerged trailer is a navigation hazard to other boats and leaving the wheels of the truck in the lake is not only considered as environmental contamination, it's not good for the brakes or the axle seals.

A few years back I was doing aerial forest fire suppression with a big yellow CL-415 waterbomber at a lake near Parry Sound Ontario. A woman phoned the OPP and told them I was drunk flying because I had been returning to the lake 7 or 8 times and trying to land. She then phoned the nearest CBC radio station broadcaster and told them the same thing claiming the lake I was using was her lake even though it was completely within the crown forest lands. Needless to say the Provincial Police visited the airport where the big yellow aero planes with numbers on the side parked when not being used. They interviewed the drunk pilot….me . Of coarse the police and myself had a big belly laugh and when I asked where the woman who had called came from they said Toronto. We in the north part of the province like to call them city idiots or cityits. The next day the CBC came out to the airport and I gave them a nice interview.

Saying ''you can stay in your boat'' just after asking him if he was the ''police'' sound like YOU are the police when he is totally free to come ashore if he feels like it. By the way, his english is much better than your french.

After rotation it looks like you set a very high AOA. I'm wondering if it's a visual perception or purposeful? Like maybe it's good to quickly get a dingy Seaplane out of ground effect? Also, do you know if that would qualify 103 in the US? I know Ultralight laws are a bit different North of the Border. Thx I bet flying something so unique is a constant hassle from know it all onlookers. It looks hard to aviate!

I m from quebec. The first time, he complain about your gasoline engine because some lake here are forbiden to gasoline engine. And the second time when he come in the kayak, he want you to wash your boat because a lot of lake in quebec has trouble with blue seaweed and you can contamine other lake...

You mentioned that the police officer had asked about where he could try-out a delta-wing amphib as such. I live in Quebec, so am curious too - could you please pass on, a small list of dealers or small ultralight airports or u/l clubs with landing strips, etc. During Covid, so many ultralight training schools closed and a lot of info on the Internet is dated, so any up-to-date info would be appreciated. Oh yes, and another thing - to have a medical 'evaluated' by TC aviation medical, for a pilot licence (yes, even for a u/l licence, for viewers from outside Canada (we're 'regulated to death')), one requires one to set-up an account, that enables TC aviation medical to take their fee, for their evaluation. I have searched everywhere on-line to find the site, where one can set-up the account, have left messages on-line & via voicemail with TC aviation medical. No one has answered this query. I just wish to set-up my 'processing fee account', prior to seeing an aviation medical examiner (and them sending it onto Ottawa). I hope you can assist with this. Thanks in advance...

You live in Quebec and you don't understand french? Anyway, motorized boats aren't allowed on Lac-carré. Small paddle craft are no problem, obviously but there is a reason why the boat ramp, is just a grassy spot leading to the water next to the beach, instead of a paved ramp going into the water that you can drive a trailer and truck on. I don't understand the "Boat ramp fees" do you mean parking permits? For a truck and trailer it's only $137 for the whole year in Lachine. You can go all you want and no one would bother you at all. Except to talk to you about your contraption.

Every lake has to have a least one Karen. They finally get their dream living on a lake and somehow they own the water. There probably weren't any fisherman fishing around their dock and you just happened to fly by. You made his day and mine 😁

The kayak guy is basically telling you no fuel engins are allowed on the lake because it spreads an invasive algae. Going at those speeds, the waves you create are spreading it around. Also it might stick to your boat and you'll be spreading it to other lakes. Yet you proceed to stir the lake. Not knowing/understanding a language is no excuse. It is your responsibility to inform yourself of laws and restrictions when visiting places. The first time he spoke to you he was calm and clear. The second time he had the right to be upset since you proceeded to ignore the rules. This algae is costing a lot of money and work to fix.

The thing is that it suck if you buy a property with a lakefront with no gas engine allowed and it might be one of the reason you bought it too, and someone pulls over with his gas machine because he thinks it's a good spot and felt like it ! We can't but he has a fun flying thing so he can...... Now it's a i did not know so i'm gonna do it anyway !! Oh well people nowadays !!

At first when I clicked the video, I thought Quebec's police gave you trouble, but not at all, they were kind like they should do and act in most rural areas normally. You were just confronted by some kind of obscure lake Karen... We are used to that kind of people in Quebec too sadly, they are numerous and that is a real pain in the *ss sadly... They got not rights to what they fry upon, but they scream, you are lucky, some get violent sometimes, and even worse, some get like racist violent and that's no good. I despise those people, they are a shame for us all, that are mostly welcoming all the way, especially for this kind of thing. ...I mean, I'm a dev/prog, scientic maniac, like yyou would be the "king" of the lake for me and really be welcomed mate ;) ... But I don't live around a lake, only around far in the St-Lawrence river, on the shores far, like if you miss at this place, we must call the coast guard to save you, you know ;) ... But really nice place to do that, nice landscapes, but you need people to check you out, like just in case ;)

Perfect example of why flying cars will never get off the ground so to speak. Imagine a neighborhood with taxiways and runways full of Karen soccer mommies madly battling their way to deliver their children to school and husbands aggressively flying off to work to beat the guy to the workplace airport. The carnage from sky rage (road rage, for those of us still driving cars) will be as bloody as an American mass shooting on a good day.
