Extremely good Police Day Parade and performance. Remind me of the days when I used to see this in '70s and '80s at Police Academy, Thomson Road. Well done to all.
@@shermanlo1880Yes, in the exception of Red Cross and our scouts. But I think they will inevitably fall as these youth uniform services need to receive government funds
So many British traditions in place but of course would have been nice to see more! SPF doing a much better job than the SAF in preserving traditions handed down by the British.
No, but we have the Special Operations Command, which can be said to be like the PDRM Federal Reserve Unit and the Pasukan Gerakan Khas combined. The SOC is SPF's SWAT regiment, set up on 10 September 1992 to consolidate specialist armed units into a single regiment that SPF can call upon for any major operations. It has units that perform major public order and domestic security duties, such as hostage rescue, riot control, counterterrorism, and apprehending and neutralising armed and dangerous criminals. SOC also has the K9 Unit, which uses dogs to perform a range of duties, including but not limited to street patrols, detection of drugs and explosives, guarding sensitive places (eg: Changi Prison Complex) and supporting the other SOC units for public order and domestic security duties, and other Singapore law enforcement agencies (Immigration and Checkpoints Authority, Central Narcotics Bureau, Singapore Prison Service) in their operations at checkpoints, Singapore Changi Airport, ferry and cruise terminals, ports, Changi and Tanah Merah prisons and Selarang Park Complex. www.police.gov.sg/Who-We-Are/Organisation-Structure/Specialist-and-Line-Units/Special-Operations-Command
@@timothychan3827 Your police parade uniform are spot on though, I just miss you guys using the British foot drills, the Chinese PLA drill is too robotic for my liking, lifeless even.
@@youtubeaccount5738 Indeed, and the new command in Mandarin sounds foolish and rustic. Everything here is changing, changing to the worse. From the pearl of orient to an ordinary town in the Third World
Im kind of losing interest in our police force good system after seeing the majorities of singaporeans being sweetly against our police force by impersonating or making it a dull moment. As a Singaporean im kind of losing interest respect of love to our police force though they can be, one of the best. Happy police day to our police force majula Singapura, singapur, one nation one people.
Wonder Why Singapore Government Still needs to Outsource National Security to Foreigners? ie. The Gurkha Regiment … Does Government really Trust SPF anot?🤔
@@youtubeaccount5738 Like it or Not They are an Insult to Our Malfunctioning PAP Government who has Outsourced National Security to Armed Foreigners 😂😂😂
Yeah, we should goose-step-bounce like North Korean drills, lift our legs 160 degrees like Indian drills, and carry RPGs like certain Middle Easten drills
How is that the case? The anthem is Malay. The drill commands are in Malay. The same drill formation are used in other independent countries. It boggles my mind how a country which has been independent for 58 years has "chosen to keep the memories of colonial days". Do enlighten, since you appear enlightened?
My guess is you never had to physically tackle, struggle, and take down someone while not overly injuring either yourself or the subject, right? It is easier to kill someone rather than to simply subdue them, dude. Think abt it.
How is the SPF going to address the allegations of racial discrimination and workplace bullying by Uvaraja Gopal? Is the investigation going to be transparent? Are people involved (colleague, supervisor, department head, minister, etc) going to be punished? I have friends who were from the SPF with similar claims of abuse. Many highly derogatory remarks used to insult the minorities are "Malay pig" and "untouchable". I believe they were used as insult to the Malay and Indian race respectively. There are also allegations of bias when considering for promotion and workplace abuse. If the allegations are true, how can Singaporeans, especially the minorities, feel safe in police presence? How can they be sure the SPF officer is fair when dealing with police call and without prejudice. Can the SPF publish statistics of arrest base on race and how many of the arrests were made by officer from the other race? If there is a correlation between officer from one race arresting people from the other races, then the allegations might have substance. There must be an open investigation and have new policies to protect minorities against racial discrimination and abuse. No justice, no peace.
Your claims are completely baseless and unfounded. Singapore is nothing like India and corruption is taken very seriously. Both countries police forces have no correlation
