For those of you who are going to attend the new 'Day One' (Met Police) Assessment Centre - some guidance on how to deal with a single role player (the other one has two role players in it) using the CUDSAR framework.
It is highly likely that this person will come across as having a mild mental health or vulnerability episode.

What should I do if the fight is aggressive and going on for 4-5 minutes during this time what should I do in my role play time?

This role play was a nightmare Brendan. I won’t say what it was. But the scenario didn’t have anything to do with policing. It was a situation for social services or a school councillor or some other agency. Very frustrating, as I done excellent in the neighbour dispute scenario.

I would have thought that a police officer's role these days is largely that of a social worker, combined with personal adviser to the underclass, so the role play sounds about right (and that's not my words, the words of many police officers quoted in the 'Wasting more police time' book.
