A man who shot his girlfriend in Lorton and brought her to a hospital where she later died has been charged, Fairfax County police say.

this was my coworker, a woman full of love and care had children, the most empathetic person I’ve ever met. Beautiful person inside and out. A best friend and mother figure to me. I feel sick to my stomach to know this how it ended for her, she was already dealing with so much. I’m so sorry Kate. You will be missed. She impacted me so much and so many others, may you rest in peace beautiful , I’ll never forget the impact you left on me.

I'm so sorry and sad. Your words pierced my heart. This was a real person robbed of her life ...RIP. Anyone reading this know violence is not the answer walk away and leave people alone even if you feel they really hurt or wronged you ...if it's voices telling you to hurt others go to the hospital and or remove yourself from triggers .....Don't Kill People.

I just talked to her co worker and there were "red flags".. he was a retired "intelligence" govt employee (so he said) so called employee who acted out towards her and acted very strangely: everyone told her his "story" about his money and house on the lake was too good to be true. She had struggled to help her family who did not help her. I hope he gets life in prison. Praying for Kate's children.

@@silent_unseen2099 She just wants all men dead. Even though a click away and you can actually find women committing acts of violence too and if you do a quick history lesson many women profited off of war and pillage (and slavery and genocide). Once you give anyone too much power, they’ll use it.
