These are two leaders in the province who frequent courts of law incessantly. ADR can be used at times just to keep other affairs out of the public eye whilst being resolved amicably.

The MOST painful reality is that there are no or less services to be proud of in EC 1. Police stations -MATATELE- Heads law unto themselves ( NEVER pitch on time at the crime scene) perpetrators often get away with murder 2. Police come mostly out if called their significant others ( using some villagers as their only people they can respond to their calls) 3.Police Vans visible around where there's a party- umgidi...whilst crimes of stock theft,housebreaking,murders,GBV,arson etc 4. Witnesses are not protected, if a person gives a name of a person who was at the crime scene...the witness is immediately extinguished 5. Between 2022-24 village murder cases...where are the outcomes of such? 6. Some police or mostly are not interested in crime prevention, detection, and even taking reliable statements to convince the magistrates that crime indeed happened. 6. In some areas there are no reliable communities to protect each other ,from ward councillors, herdsmen to site committees- CPFs....just useless) 7. The educated...teachers,mostly are not the playing their roles as torch bearers..... The politicians over and over are using people for votes...why can't they be vocal and implement resolutions: build police stations 1 police station in every 5square km...or train the youth in every village at least 10 about crime awareness,prevention and work closely with police( police reservists or somehow village comandos...just to work as a unit when a woman cries ,they all come to aid )... Basotho areas were forever sidelined in eastern cape

If a premier cannot demand that police do their job... what powers does the Premier really have?.. My take away here is: we have all these seemingly powerful people who are not really powerful..
