In the interwar period, trade was based mainly on basic goods and those necessary for life. The reality in those times was not easy for the average citizen. Markets, both rural and urban, have always been an important part of the local community. You could not only buy or sell all kinds of products there, but also listen to what was happening in the area and in the country and exchange interesting facts about everyday life. They talked to each other, exchanging information and gossip, asking about services and items. There was a bustling life there, there were also plenty of cheaters and thieves, so you had to carefully guard your property and pockets. See in the video what marketplaces in Warsaw, Krakow, Łódź and Katowice looked like 100 years ago.
