Loved this film so gladI'm hearing people talk about it as I agree that the marketing was non existent. The twist did remind me of some fun Bollywood films where it will come out of nowhere with no real justification and you just have to go along with it. Also loved hearing how you guys met, it seems like a fated friendship!
Another flabbergasting episode 🎉! So refreshing to see a British film masterfully incorporate South Asian culture. The Bollywood Maar Dala (lit. Killed Me) song especially caught me by surprise, because I'd been hearing it since childhood. I've only acted a little, and have seen even shooting regular dialogue scenes requires so much effort, so I can only imagine what it takes to shoot fighting scenes. Stuntpeople deserve all the praise, but the actors too have to maintain a certain level of fitness and fighting choreography for the stunts to look convincing, which FFC's Maisie certainly did. In a world of two-handed greatswords, she shined like a star with her one-handed rapier and eastern fighting techniques. I still have trouble reenacting her sword sequences. 🤣
