Malachi Bartlett Malachi - not sarcastic at all!! I SO much appreciate when students take the time to write kind comments! Trust me I get a fair amount that aren't... Anyway, I read these in the morning to get fired up to head off to teach and should make my responses more original, but... so little time! Have a great day (with no hint of sarcasm - I mean it!) Mr. Raymond
@@MrRaymondSocialStudies Thank you by the way! Your videos help so much. I can't believe you take time just to write kind responses. This video taught me alot about interest groups. Thanks again,
Hi Mr.Raymond, what I learned is that interests groups are groups of individuals with common interests who try to influence the government and the public policy.
Ma'am,.can you explain to me this? "Political models embrace those theories that characterize decision-making as a bargaining process. Analysis focuses on the distribution of power and influence in organizations and on the bargaining and negotiation between interest groups. Conflict is regarded as endemic within organizations and management is directed towards the regulation of political behaviour (Bush, 2003): Assume that in organizations policy and decisions emerge through a process of negotiation and bargaining. Interest groups develop and form alliances in pursuit of particular policy objectives."
Marcela Sordo P.6- I learned that interest groups can affect public policy-making through lobbying, electioneering, litigation, and gaining public support.
I agree that not all lobbying is bad, but I believe a lot of it has hurt the people, specifically small businesses, when lobbyists represent large, multinational corporations.
I learned that Rho Kappa is having a voter registration drive Monday 12/18 and Wednesday 12/20. By registering to vote you are partaking in our countries political system.
i learned the difference between labor unions and public interest groups, one wants better wages and work force conditions and the other wants to help the people.
