True. During the worst time of his life he was being accused and destroyed emotionally and politicaly. I could only imagine what he had went thru for a person who lost a loved one and still undergo such polical pervertized attacks and still survive and maintain the compassion and acceptance is a true show his character. He is pride of our kerala and of our country to the world as how to be a human being.
He is everything that a leader, politician should look and talk like. The majority of the liberal World including me wants him to be the next pm of India. Hope it happens..
@@dh00mketu In all likelihood it seems like a political conspiracy hatched to halt his meteoric rise in Indian politics. He is a thorn in current dispensation with huge following. It's almost 5 yrs since his late wife died and the best they have come up with is 'Abetment to Suicide'. It's a laughable charge considering it was 3rd marriage for both and she was above 50 yrs old. Any which way, the longer the case is dragged, it is convenient for for the haters to throw filth at Shashi Tharoor to derail his growth and popularity. Credit to him that he has handled the situation remarkably well..! Between being a active politician and discharging his duties as a most sorted international/national speaker, he has authored 3 great books too.. India needs such talent to take us forward.

How could you bring yourself to vote the incorrigible man - Modi again. He is the nation destroyer via his stupid moves on demonetisation, botched GST and Sudden insight on Rafael Purchases to benefit the newcomer Ambani etc. People thought that unlike MMSingh, he will be able to speak but he has proved himself even worse than him and given that he enjoys the full majority. He did not need RSS but it seems, he can not survive without RSS approval just like Sonia decided everything except nuclear issue when MMSingh was the front face.
you vote for your local MP. They decide who becomes the PM. If congress comes to power he is going to be the HRD or Foreign minister. If coalition compulsion is there then the chances of a third front PM is possible. Who knows may be Tharoorji will become PM..No one can guess
He would work as a consigliere. But to expect him and his ilk to strategically pre empt and/prevent the base level tensions that exist in our social fabric is too much to ask. That requires us to step up our game, get educated n educate, treat people as we would wish to be treated ourselves, understand that liberalism without social justice is impotent or even worse, hypocritical, that there is nothing more demeaning than the poverty of opportunity, that we need better minds to form better teachers to get where we want to be 20, 30 years hence.

Nice to here once again shashi tharoor saab m right winger and i dont like congress as well as rahul gandhi but this man shashi is a one of the great personality of india. In this video his explanation about sabrimala issue is absolutely right and true. I have never seen any other politician who describe sabrimala issue like this. I think if congress will declare shashi tharoor for PM congress will more easliy fight with bjp rather than rahul gandhi. (Sorry for my poor english, m just learning and trying to take command in this language)
Shashi Tharoor is incomparable. His level of knowledge on any topic is incredible. His erudite answers to all questions, discussions , his speeches all are full of so much of information that anyone listening to him is simply awed by the amount of knowledge he possesses . It’s a pleasure to listen to him talking and it’s a treat every time one hears him speak. I don’t think he can be challenged by anyone on any topic that he is not aware of. Such a widely read and knowledgeable person as Mr Tharoor is indeed very very rare in today’s world. I am seriously flabbergasted that Congress, having Mr Tharoor in their party could not attain the position or the trust of the people because they either could not or did not utilise his wisdom, his capabilities to the fullest. He is the most capable person who knows what he wants snd how to get things done. He has an absolutely clear vision about what he is saying and is the most suitable candidate for the position of a PM.

I don think any other politician or even a person in our country who has risen to a status of Secretary General - United Nations. Nonetheless to say about his experience is in no par with the local entities but his selfless urge to serve and give back to our country and the love for the country is visible in every talks and speeches he has given around the world. I do think he was able to step out of himself, as it were, in an effort to think critically about himself. Very, very few people, even fewer demagogues have been able to do that. Thats not to say he did not have faults. He couldnt have presaged how the brits would sell him down the river to create a communist bloc/ american bloc via the Sino Indian war of '62. He trusted the whitey too much, but the Irish and English are as different as chalk n cheese.
I want to trust him but I don’t know what to make of those comments made by one of Sunanda’s close friend who talked to her just hours before her death. Mr. Tharoor don’t look like a man who is able to commit this kind of horrendous murder. His wife for whatever reason seemed like a mentally disturbed human being. Mr.Tharoor is a brilliant man but I feel that he is born with this horrible fate that will haunt him for rest of his life!
2 min into this video and i dont feel like watching it any further. How rude and impolite this woman is while talking to him. She interrupts him all the time and doesnt excuse herself beforehand. Western media ppl are very polite when compared to this.
It always makes me happy to see dr tharoor speaking, i admire his works. But in the case of Sabarimala temple, the communist government have made their stand clear that they are note going to help or favour women entering Sabarimala Temple.but after the supreme Court's judgment they have no other option but to execute the judgment, it is the duty of every state government and they can't stop a woman entering the temple because it is the law now . And cm of Kerala Mr Pinarayi Vijayan had said that if the court puts a stay order they will stop favouring women entering sabarimala , and whatever the decision may be they will stand by the supreme court and the Constitution.the govt in kerala are doing the right thing.
@Anupam prasad It's up to the supreme court. If supreme court says so, then it is the law. By the way, by the same logic; will you say that hindu women should be able to become priestesses in hindu temples and do Puja?

You welcomed the verdict of the supreme court in the case of ayodhya and now you are opposing the same supreme court when the verdict is against your discriminatory agenda? @Anupam prasad I'm sorry to say that your facts are incorrect. There have been many incidents of female devotees entering in to the sabarimala temple. Even a tamil film song is shot in the sabarimala temple with lots of female artists in the temple. Article 14 and 15 of Indian Constitution makes it clear that all citizens have equal rights for opportunities and religious practices. My question is who the hell are you to question and deny the constitutional rights of female hindu devotees who want to enter in to their temple and to see their God when as you said hindu religion is an inclusive religion and hindus worship goddesses in various temples. And if you have objections towards the decision of the supreme Court's verdict, go and file a petition.
How intelligent and full of integrity Mr. Tharoor is who can defend and follow a nitwit in the form the president of Congress party. This fact alone disqualifies Mr. Tharoor from any public office.
I disagree. He is unwilling to criticise the Congress on key issues like the 1984 Sikh riots or Rajiv Gandhi's sectarianism that strengthened the Hindutva movement.
I am a fan of him. But for some reason I feel weird when he talks about his wife's death. Well he is not convicted of anything, but there's not an iota of pain in his voice when he talks about Sunanda Pushkar's death.
I live in a rural town in Kerala which can be easily made picture perfect by encouraging the people to segregate waste and have a regular waste collection And certainly accessible good quality waste bins which are simply not there.There is no proper dumping yard for poisonous stuff either. I wish the local panchayat could take an initiative. Pleasure always to hear Dr. Tharoor. We all want to see him in an important position in the next govt and are keeping our fingers crossed.
An elected public servant while entering in a cultural venture, some one dislike it and that kind of controversy (as a tool )can't be take in that much -ve sense of manner that too a person like him that's y we lost him as a effective minister . That tool have to threw away .Few political people (in & out ) would not like his entry esp in Kerala. No need to make any changes in the hill top act. It's up to the LAC before the top court last order.
I sincerely feel that, Dr. Sasi Tharoor, would regret one day,for his stand on Sabarimala issue.!!I feel he has not gone through the subject in depth.at all.I mean he has not got the temperament of BJP, in the issue and their nefarious intentions.!!!!!
