One thing I’ve learned from this is that, just because you have Dr. in the front of your name, doesn’t mean you are sound. Thabiti anyabwile is so sharp and accurate, this man knows the Word for real. Much respect to him.

I think your point would be better stated as "You don't HAVE to have the title "Dr." in front of your name to be sound. None of the panelists with the title "Dr." sounded like they were lacking.

This lady in the black jacket is totally off with a lot of what she’s saying. The text is there for a reason, it’s made black and white for a reason, God want us to know what it is and what He wants us to do which is right according to Him… a He, the same He that Jesus refer to as a Father which is a male figure. Regardless of what we feel or think God and His Christ said what they said and that’s that. And any where the text is “silent” that’s where by way of prayer we seek the Father’s heart on the matter via the Holy Spirit that communicates the heart of the Father to us through prayer! Period!!!
@AHSongbird27
@AHSongbird27 Год назад
Definitely agree with you. Some people know that there was 400 years of silence from the OT to NT, he was still God. When we take our human thought to explain God, we can present emotional triggers and unresolved issues as presented with the man and woman on the end.

Sis on the end is so caught up in her feelings that she doesn't WANT Scripture to be clear on issues that she disagrees with. She takes issue with referring to God as 'He" yet Jesus Himself referred to God as a Father. To be clear, God is neither a man nor woman (because He's not human), but He is spirit who presents Himself to us as a Father. So "He" sounds about right.

Sometimes we take opinions of biblical writers as a fact and exalt it over truth that contradicts what we have been indoctrinated to believe for instance in 1Corinthians7:12,17 Paul is offering his personal opinion as regards marriage and we have taken it as absolute and binding in every situation without taking into context the text was written so it is with regards to issues such politics,LGBTQ,abortion etc

♥️ During the past 4 years after much questioning, digging, research, and conviction, I have returned to my Christian faith. Notwithstanding, we seem to forget that the Bible was written by man, though inspired by GOD . Therefore, if it was written by man & man being flawed and finite (cannot fully know, comprehend, or fully understand the infallible infinite & eternal GOD. For who can know the mind of God? The Bible therefore, has some error within man’s written work.

I'm so tired of hearing theologians twist the Bible to fit the culture. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb 13:8). God is not a man...that He should change His mind (Num 23:19). If it was wrong back then, it's wrong today, and wrong tomorrow. Whether YOU CHOOSE to obey is up to you.

There is no compromise when it comes to the Word of God- period. There are plenty of scriptures that tell us this. God is the Word- love him (the Word) with all your heart. Period. It’s challenging but we are called to do so.

“Im troubled by the clear parts”. Love this! There are things that God is clear on through His Word. That’s what I choose to focus on. Put away doubtful disputation. Let’s not wrestle with the unclear things but focus on what we clearly know we need to do or how to live. I sincerely ask for prayer… I may not be where I ought in God be but I will never dilute the Word of God.

Also every Christian go to heaven. Out of 50 years i never been to a funeral that someone went to hell. Every funeral they in a better place with Jesus hell must be empty

Context!!!!!!!!!! Too many times we read scripture and assume the culture, region, and systems were the same 2000 to 4000 years ago as they are today. So much so that now when most people quote scripture I give it a caution sign and remind myself to check a commentary or study the history of that culture to see if it’s applicable.

I thank God for this conversation. It was extremely Fruitful. Even though I didn't catch it live, I definitely found myself engaging in/with the conversation and taking plenty of notes. I don't know what my sister on the end has been through, but I am praying for her and her loved ones. Sometimes we are more passionate about a subject not because we have experience, but because someone we love dearly does - and negatively so. I thank God for my brother sitting next to her. Powerful & Anointed Man of GOD! The Holy Ghost was/is definitely flowing in and through him! Please notice my bro had the Bible in his lap the whole time! ARMED AND READY! Come Through!! Sis on the other side of the moderator, she came with it too more than she didn't. Some things were sketchy,,, but her saving grace was her transparency. When she spoke of what she wrestles with, it made her previous comments make all the more sense. My man on the end tho... Just going to be in prayer for him and those that follow. There is a clear lack of confidence in Scripture and extreme compromise. The moderator did a fantastic job steering this conversation in light of its intensity. I Very Much Appreciate This Conversation. I love that the clip began with this - JUST BECAUSE IT IS DESCRIBED IN THE BIBLE, DOESN'T MEAN GOD IS PRESCRIBING IT FOR OUR LIVES. #Describe Does Not Mean Prescribe!

What does he mean affirmation of the lgbtq community @41:00 or so? The man & woman at both ends clearly don’t understand the Bible. This is part of the issue I may have studied theology but that doesn’t mean it’s sound. Our understanding of scripture can’t be wrapped in our humanity. It should be the other way around. Jesus’ was counter cultural with everyone!!! He didn’t adjust according to cultural acceptance.

I don’t know much, can’t answer most questions with absolute authority. All I can do is give you what I genuinely and authentically believe Gods truth is saying to you through me,but I’m positive will stand in this, you can’t make the Bible say what it doesn’t, and If we doubt the validity of Bible without understanding our doubts don’t invalidate the absolute truth of the Bible, then l have no actual foundational lens and truth to live and see all the issues from. Regardless of what I think about them.. loved this!! Thank You all for this rich deep and very helpful dialogue!! Y’all taught this thang!!!!

Often times in discussions like these we tend to listen for the voices that affirm what we believe, when we should be listening to hear with the Spirit might be trying to point us too!! Looking back 20 centuries having been shaped by all sorts of things, it is hardly Clear that any of us are Clear about much! Good religion should move the human family forward. As a Preacher and Theologian, I ask God, what is the truth from his word and spirit for the 21st century? Nobody said much about what Jesus was Clear, he left us the SPIRIT! But when the truth-giving Spirit comes, he will unveil the reality of every truth within you. He won’t speak on his own, but only what he hears from the Father, and he will reveal prophetically to you what is to come. John 16:13 TPT

When you stand up for God that is in you then you in your power can influance those who are in politics. You influance politics you should not have to get in involved with politics. The reason the constitution refers to religion and not Christianity because of the dilution of the word of God..
