It seems that every time I see this Polk county sheriff, he is passionate, honest, and transparent with all the crimes he must deal with as per his solemnly sworn duty to uphold law and order.

However, many of us do not have this in our state, town, or county. Many of our elected officials are more concerned with hiding the crimes or are involved in white collar crimes themselves. On this scale? It took 2 years to net 268 pounds of meth, 31 pounds of cocaine, 180 pounds of pot and 8 OUNCES of fentanyl? Otay Mesa, CA cops seized 5,528 pounds of meth and 127 POUNDS of fentanyl in a matter of minutes last year. But they didn't call a huge press conference to pat themselves on the back. They just went back to work. Philadelphia CPB seized 39,525 pounds of cocaine in 2019. That's 20 tons! Sheriff Judd seized 180 pounds of marijuana, that he claimed was worth $1.6 million, that's $555 per ounce. Not that he'd exaggerate. The values of the meth and coke were ridiculously exaggerated as well. I have much more respect for law enforcement that speaks softly and carries a big stick, in other words makes big seizures without tooting their own horn.
Sheriff Grady Judd gives credit to all the Law Enforcement people involved in taking these criminals off the streets. Some he simply cannot publicly name for obvious reasons. Some people only see the person that breaks the news to the public as the hero. And it’s just an oversight by so many in our society that don’t take the time to learn the entire details of these cases.
