I would love to play some jazz/gospel/classical piano on this... I play a three/four octave bass stride and bounce in church regularly, and I know this instrument would bring out every A0-C2 as clearly as the notes above it in that same range! As a composer across traditions, these are the bass lines of my dreams in classical, gospel, and jazz!

I am a proud owner of a 1909 Gaveau parlor grand piano. Even though your piano doesn't have the French sound that would be best suited for this piece, I can appreaciate how clear and deep it all sounds. I imagine Rachmaninoff sounds great on this and I would love to give it a try one day.

Can you imagine the opening of the Rachmaninoff Concerto 2 on this? It would produce that big bell sound he had in mind in the bass. Also the opening salvo of the 2nd Sonata would be impressive.

@@alexanderpianos1038 I would love to! The entire range of the piano sounds beautiful. It’s so impressive. I would love to play a Concerto with orchestra on it to see how the balance would sound. I’ve played several concertos with an organist accompanying and that would be amazing, also. Great job! It’s an epic work of art and should make you proud.

How long is that piano? looks like about 13ft. I transport pianos as a business. You'd need a special grand shoe and cover to move this one! Sounds good! and you'd need a big machine to make the bass strings. Is that a modern piano or an old one? I never saw such a piano in 40 years in the business! great pianist! I'd love to hear some Bill Evans or Oscar Peterson on that piano!!!

@@alexanderpianos1038 My understanding is that an 18' 9" piano is the correct size so as there is no compromise in the bass strings. ie: they are not shorter or thicker than they need to be. Biggest piano I've ever moved is an 8' 3" Steinway.

@gaugeonesteam it's close but could be closer still in terms of wire gage and tension. There's quite a bit I would alter in the design

how would the piano sound if the back ends of the strings were allowed to resonate?

I don’t know if you take requests but is there any chance to hear the Prelude from Rachmaninoff’s Morceaux de Fantasie? Im very curious to hear how it would sound on this piano considering the giant chords in the piece. If not I completely understand

An octave tremolo in the bass is very loud and deep. I haven't measured it, though

@@alexanderpianos1038 Because of the four mics, the phase cancellation in the low-end causes a swirling, unfocused sound that I find distracting. I am a former studio owner and audio engineer. This is a common problem from 'over-micing' a source, particularly something that has this much LF content.

@@Whatismusic123 I am more a musician who also plays piano. I understand that a pianist or piano admire Chopin. Perhaps I will discover him more, but at least in the moment I prefer for example Scriabin and younger composers more, less sweetness, more spicy. Tone quality, a beautiful tone for me is more important than virtuosity and pianistic force.

Сложно услышать богатство звука, когда аудиокодек не справляется со своей задачей. Я слышу как будто свист ветера задувающего в окно.
