Hey All! Well, this was definitely not the best movie I have ever seen. That being said, it was highly entertaining, and is more than worth the watch for any horror fan!
This video is purely for commentary purposes, and is NOT a replacement for the original film. Please go watch the original film.

My reaction to Poltergeist 2 was uploaded a few years ago on my main Yeedeed channel, and can be found here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6b13HHJf_2Y.html

The actor physically playing Kane is not doing the voice, he was dubbed over by Corey Burton, who is a voice actor.

I saw that part where Carol Anne touches the mirror and gets lifted off the ground when I was a kid. It totally traumatized me, and I was scared of the mirrored closets in my bedroom for a long time lol

I cut that part out, but yeah that whole moment was pretty funny. I was actually thinking to myself while reacting to this on how much they're using the word "puddle" haha

50:51 I think the one I liked the most was when Donna was putting on make-up and Carol Anne opened the bathroom door and said a thing - and then Donna recognized the closed door was being knocked on and she opened it to see Carol Anne standing there and deliver the same line. Like ... she just has this look on her face that surely anyone in the room would have asked about, but Carol Anne didn't even say anything (and then, like you said, they just keep going about their day after that weird crap lol) I think my favorite other moment is when the statue moves behind Patricia - as one of the really early things, that's just giving us the truth behind the uneasy feeling the characters haven't quite recognized yet (and then she watches Bruce in the mirror and does nothing, but y'know haha) 💙

Just found this channel. Thank you for seeing this movie as most don't even want to try, same for #2. I'll find that one later on your other channel. I did watch this when I was about 10 and as the whole series had done, they all frightened me. All the mirror parts both scared and amazed me, as well. It is real hard to watch this one now, as you can see by Heathers puffiness, as she was going through her medical problems. Kane scared me ever since I saw him in #2 and for him to "be back" made this just as scary. I, personally, believe the Kane laugh at the end was to keep the franchise going, just as every other villian, no matter if you kill them, always come back, but, as you know, it probably ended with Heather. Great work but I am also one who frowns on too much criticism. lol

This movie was hilariously bad, but that doesn't mean this was a bad movie. It's a fun movie! Good reaction!

53:30 I'm really glad you enjoyed it, truly. It's really ... not a great movie, but I do wish more people knew about it and gave it a shot. It has some value in it and definitely deserves a place in a horror movie library 💙

47:41 lol Seriously I think this last "jump scare" is the last example of the holes in this movie. It does a good job *trying* to be connected to and as good as the others... but it keeps falling a bit flat. Despite the really cool bits that it gets to use. I really like a lot of the things they did with reflections Wondering, at the end of this "what the hell, is he dead or not" reminds me of some other movie endings, too lol 😂💙

Heather had an asthma attack during the basement scene where she was pulled into the puddle. They didn’t have her inhaler nearby so she passed away on the set. You don’t see her face after that. She also mentions missing her brother, but not her sister, because the actress who played her sister was murdered by her boyfriend after the first movie.

3:41 Holy crap; okay, it's been a minute since I saw this, but I don't remember this mention of a parakeet! lol In the second movie, that's one of the things her mom remembered as one of the first weird things that happened in their home I suddenly love this movie just a bit more 😆💙

51:53 My cousin and I didn't see this until home video. I think we were about 10? It was hard for me to piece this movie together, back then (and watching it, now, I understand why I was so confused lol) but the mirror stuff always stuck with me. Scenes from this movie fueled our imaginations for sure 💙

39:11 "somehow" lol 😂💙 thinking of different movies that have made jokes about this in some way * character raises random item in hand and just ... waits for something to happen or * something does and everyone is actually surprised

1:32 Yeah, I kept hoping I gave no impression this would be "great" (and hopefully nostalgia hasn't put too much rose in my glasses lol), but I believe it has some gems that I do think you'll appreciate, so yeah lol 💙 This was one of a group of movies my cousin and I enjoyed together, growing up

7:24 I don't know, maybe? I know this idea for buildings has been around a while, but I guess I never really wondered about it; just kind of accepted that if I did live there, it would be fine. I'm weird, tho, I would either think it was really cool or really freaky to be residing near the top of one of those 😅💙

52:42 Slow ... fade ... in ... lol I'm actually right with you, tho. I think a movie done now would need to be better in one of two ways: to give us a little more explanation about what was going on - or have a cohesive enough background for the plot that we still *feel* like it makes sense when we're watching and nothing actually gets spelled out for us 💙

39:53 I see what you're saying. I kind of get her, tho - like, that's a "younger" thought that the adult her has kind of suppressed or something, but the tension of the situation has her confessing some unpleasant thoughts. I think you have a point, tho, it should have been a subplot - once it becomes known that false entities have come back through, do a little bit more "invasion of the body snatchers" and wonder if other people were offscreen, to not trust them because of certain things they say in their distress That'd be kind of neat 💙

49:53 Yeah, I agree - that was a bit hamfisted. Really, tho, that whole "ghosts came back in their place" thing gets 0 resolution at all. Who are those ghosts? Why did they terrorize anyone? Kane, himself, doesn't seem properly motivated, either. It's ... yeah. With a longer runtime (and some good writing), the imposter subplot could have been useful to Patricia's sudden confession of distaste for her extended family. In one version, she expresses her distaste for her niece much earlier in the movie - but in another version, confessing that in the hopes of convincing Bruce to leave it all behind and just end their involvement could have been something that tipped Bruce off to wondering if she was an imposter, like their daughter - because in this edit, they never ... actually ... find out ... that the two teens weren't the real kids... Side note, tho: Scott is missing from the final shot, because when they were able to do reshoots (after Heather O'Rourke passed away), I understand Kip Wentz wasn't available. There were odd rumors after the first two movies, compounding rumors - but then Heather O'Rourke passed away suddenly, during filming, and they still needed the character for scenes they couldn't shoot. The ending would have been a little different, but I don't think it would quite have saved the rest of the movie lol Icon for these films, but losing that little girl was a tragic loss 💙

Hey Mike, been missing you on RU-vid. Hope you are doing well.

Hey Pauline, how's everything going for you? I'm good, thanks for asking. Just been a bit busy with life lately, and even less time than I normally have to work on the channel. But very soon I'll have some more stuff uploaded, although you might not be into all of it. Good news though, your request is done, I just need to get it uploaded. Long story short, RU-vid lets you know what portions of videos need to be changed in order to fix copyright issues, and sometimes vids get stuck in this cycle of making changes, then they come back at you with even more items needing to be changed, and rinse and repeat. Your request and some other vids have been stuck like this for a few weeks, but very soon I hope I'll get a greenlight on them. Unrelated, seen any new good horror? I have been hearing good things about this In a Violent Nature movie. I want to sit down and react to it whenever it's available on streaming!

@@mikewatchesstuff Ugh, that sucks. I've seen a lot of reactors stuck in that submit, reject, submit, reject cycle. There are definitely a lot of hoops to jump through. I am super excited to see your reaction to my request, that's really cool! I hope things get easier with regards to that, I know it's a lot of work to make these videos. I've actually seen 3 really good horror movies recently - Immaculate, The First Omen, and Stopmotion. I haven't gotten to see In A Violent Nature yet because I haven't been able to get to the theater, but I am dying to see that one. It would be awesome to see you react to that one when it comes out. Thank you for your reply, and keep up the good work!
