Hey All! This was a super super solid horror movie. I have mentioned on my channel before that I tend to not get scared of older horror movies, for a combination of reasons. The effects can be outdated, the way actors do dialogue is dated, or just film-making sensibilities in general are different today. Despite all I just said, this one still managed to give me goosebumps from hell and managed to really freak me out.

The cemetery they visited is on Capitol Hill in Seattle. Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee are both buried right near that very spot. I’ve been to that cemetery many times.

When this came out, I was impressed with the gigantic mansion it takes place in. I remember reading that it was an actual house in Seattle that was slated to be demolished, which suited the needs of the production. The Changeling with Angie has no relation to this flick but is based on a true story of a woman whose child disappears, is found much later and returned to her... but is not her child.

This was a theatrical release that did okay in the theaters - a minor success in the vein of Magic (1978) or The Uninvited (1944) - low budget atmosphere. The version you are watching might have been spliced for TV viewing. I’ve always enjoyed it, though I think it could have used one more script edit.

This, The Innocents (1961), The Woman in Black (1989), and Whistle and I'll Come to You (1968) are my favorite ghost stories of all time. I'm gonna check out your Fallout reactions since I haven't watched it yet. I enjoy the insight and thought you put into your videos.

That ball scene gives me goosebumps every time! I'm 47 now, first saw this when I was 15. STILL scares the hell out of me! And I'm a Goth! One of the best horror films of all time!

i couldnt believe it when i came across this reaction.. for the most part no one seems to have heard of it. i did see at the theater... i remember specifically because i friend i went with was eating m&ms, and when the glass busted out at the beginning, she screamed and her m&m's didnt make it lol... they were flying thru the air. rewatching a few times i felt the slow parts are very slow, but the scary parts are very scary... i can still my son but whispering Joesph. ok, thats no true, but his dad would wait until bedtime, bang on the wall and say it... so mean ... thx so much for the great reaction, it was nice seeing it thru a new set of eyes so to speak

Thanks for commenting and sharing your experience with the movie! You're right, there were some really slow parts, moments of scenes dragging on too long with no dialogue. If that had been made today, the run time would be significantly reduced.
