Nice vid mate... For a large part of riding 120mm is fine... Some sections just need to be not monster trucked. Even my HT I can hang with the big dogs... There's only certain types of trails or sections where it gets... Iffy... And you need to scrub speed of use a different line. But over-all, the extra fun is worth it. Thanks for the reply, been out of loop for so long and been riding with a buddy who’s got a 29er and he just flies past me, and my hardtail struggles to maintain that momentum over rocks and roots - so I’m due for an upgrade, a lot of people I talk too says to jump to a 29er, I just want to make sure I make the right decision, coming from a 26er you really learn how to navigate those roots and rocks

I can’t seem to find a mountain bike anywhere near me, I’ve called bike shops within 100 miles no one has anything. My local trek dealer has been in business over 60years now out of business, that’s mainly what I ride is Gary fisher or trek. Going out on a limb and buy a brand I never heard of is kinda nerve wrecking especially with a high price tag. Then on top of that the sizing issue it’s not like I can ride it before I buy it. I bought a trek 4 years ago and I hated it so I sold it haven’t been MTB sense, thst was a medium size frame and it felt way too small granite I’m only 5/7 with inch heels on 🤣🤣🤣 LOL as far as polygon it says if you wing spans greater then height go next size up, so according to their calculations thst would put me in a large. What’s your opinion on their sizing, also have you have any knowledge on the vitus mystique? For my price range I want to spend that’s what I been looking at the polygon d7 t7 or the vitus.

Saw a comment here about buying a D6 and upgrading the forks? Which forks do you recommend? I’m 6’0 230 if that matters
@RydenDirty
@RydenDirty Год назад
Nice 👍. I would recommend a rockshox pike or lyric. Reason I recommend that is because they are easy to work on along with changing the travel in the future if you wanted to do that. And they are reasonably priced. They are boost spacing so you would have to get a spacer kit for the wheel. I didn’t know about the spacer kits until way later otherwise I would have done the same

Hey bro. What's up. Great review. Now my story 😂. I'm more than a roadie than a mountain biker, but what I do is go mountain biking after the road season is over. But what I did this year was starting with the mountain bike. Lol. I do have a Giant XTC Adcance 3, 26" HT. Which I upgraded from 3x9 to 1x11. I do XC. But I have to be honest. I'm the only one using a "26 between aal the "29's. The "26 has it advantages on small single trails, but have sone struggles when riding over obstacles and when climbing. That's why I'm looking between the Siskui D7 and the Synclne C5. Because the D7 full sus (that would be my first) and the C5 full carbon light and fast. (build for XC) I was more active as a mountain biker from 2015 till 2018. I'm afraid that I'm gonna love it again 😅. But on the other hand I was thinking the fact I'm not a full time mountain biker,, what do you recommend me? I want something I can hop on and have fun without regretting. Thanks in advance bro. Ride save. Greetings from Curaçao 🇨🇼. ✌🏽

I use to have the giant xtc!!! I would say this. The options for 27.5 bikes is kinda limited on the different brands. And I’m kinda biased cause I like 29ers more as well. In my opinion a good trail bike would really suit you. Between 130 and 150mm rear travel. The YT Izzo is a great option due to the fact that it’s 130mm and can handle a lot of terrain. I’ve been on one for about a year and I love it. But if you wanted something a little more I’d go with the YT Jeffsy 145/150mm for some of the gnarlier stuff.

@@RydenDirtyHey bro thanks for the reply. But I do XC. I’m thinking a 130 /150 mm fork MTB would compromise the climbing. If I’m wrong correct me. I believe a 120mm will do the job like you also mentioned. Where I live we need to order everything for import. We do have a Trek, Merida and Scott dealer here. I live on an island. Besides the YT you mentioned. What do think about the x-Caliber? Thanks 🙏🏽 once again my friend.

That’s specifically when it’s a new shock for the break in period. After that it’s longer
