@@aglau7055 i think this is a contextual matter. plus many communities, like mine, don’t view divorced women as “used” or their lack of vito go out (or even kids) as a problem. it’s not as hard finding a husband as many it out to seem. it’s as simple as this: if my husband goes and marries someone else, i’ll pack my bags and sign the divorce papers. live my life alone if i have to. idc
Saying "Men are Polygamous by Nature" is against Islam..? Why do almost all Scholars claim that men are polygamous by nature with no Islamic claim? This makes men think it's okay to open doors and feel for multiple women, when in the west, where everyone is treated "equally" women are equally polygamous, cheating on their husbands, for "fun" not for "love or emotional" reasons as many put it. This means that both sexes are vulnerable in the same way. I think the society allows men to behave this way or think this way, because it's a male dominated world, and they supressed women since the beginning of time, when in the end, both men and women are the same, committing the same sins. However, the world makes it okay for men to be this way, claiming its their nature. Ever wonder why Muslim parents will abandon their daughters forever if they caught them speaking to a guy but will not do anything if their son goes out and sleeps around with women? Why is that? In the Shariah, both is a sin, both are haram! True women may be of more fitnah towards men, because women have more awrah to cover, yet they fail to, but most men are naturally in hijab, hence the reason for lesser fitnah for women. The Polygamy allowed also speaks about helping widows or orphans, anyone who can clearly study the Quran can understand that. The Sahabah and Prophets mostly married older women who had children from other men who had died. If men want to follow the example of the Prophet, they should follow it in the way he practiced it. Wars were common, many women were left without homes or men to take care of them. Had Allah disapproved, we would suffer social issues. There are many many many men who are happy with one wife, who dare not think about other women. Even having a thought of a non-mahram while married is a huge sin, how can one approach the thought of Polygamy knowing this is wrong? We see here the clear reasons for Polygamy. Some claim their wife is too fat or too old so they want to get another wife? It's because women are too busy with children they don't have time to even think of getting another man. Though the arab world makes it look like women have no physical desires or feelings. The fact that society has suppressed this, is proof why they claim "Men are Polygamous by nature" I would like to see any type of proof from Islam that this is true? Men were more free to do whatever they pleased, this is the real reason, before Islam and after Islam. It's not a religious view, its a social view. We Muslims are taught to follow the Quran and refer to sunnah and hadeeth, if men want to remarry, then why dont they read the verse on polygamy and refer to the sunnah and hadeeth? There are clear hadeeths that our Prophet pbuh the sahabah remarried older women to help them and be noble men for the sake of allah subhanwaltala, not for sexual reasons as Scholars put it these days. Also when Hazrat Ali wanted to take a second wife for the reasons I put above, it made Hzt Fatima upset and Prophet pbuh forbade Hazrat Ali remarrying a second wife. So if anyone can show a claim from ISLAM that men are polygamous, I would like to see. Please don't bring sciencists' claims into this, because even they claim things that go against Islam.
Islam also came to safe guard the rights of women and guide them.. Polygyny is allowed as it makes sure no women is not recognised with respect when she conducts a relationship with a man.. as we can see how so many women outside the Islamic understanding are not more then mistresses or just used by married men and it's problematic for the society to give a respectful standing to women who live in a society where man is allowed only one wife... Also why Islam does not allow one woman to have many husbands, imagine if the husbands wish to have many children from that one wife.. it would be disadvantageous to the woman's health

As much as I liked this lecture, it's amazing how it is very similar to what the Bible teaches but unfortunately Christians don't know because we don't read the Holy Book. My husband took a third wife without me to know,i agreed to be second one just couse i loved him so much and i though i do the right thing.As i found out i am the third,i was heartbrokend,he lied to me,he brought her to my home,without even asking me.I cried everyday,couse they tried to force change my mind.The woman was very offensive to me,she attacked my intimacy and my privacy in a very bad way.... I changed my mind about polygamy and i dont want never again marry a man who wants more than one wifes... This experience changed my so much that i even though to leave islam,i did not and dont will couse i know the problem are the ,,people,, not our religion... Just i will be rather single all my life as to again go through all this again... Theory is ever simpler and nicer than a practical side of a topic,every one who ist open for polygamy shot think about that to not damage lifes of others or themselfs
Those who bash and criticize Islam, should look in to their own culture. Their is no concept of modesty, chastity and fidelity in these cultures. It may be shocking to know that till 1964, it was legal to swim naked in public swimming pools in US.
By Allah, marriage means MONOGAMY in the Qur'an and Hadith. In the Qur'an we read, "THEN marry women of your choice, two, three, four, BUT IF you fear you cannot due justice between them, then one or what posses rightfully. ( 4:3) Notice the word is " فَإِنْ" which does not mean "but if" nor "AND if" as......there is no "if" in Arabic. If you type in فَإِنْ in the Hans Wehr dictionary, it says "and then". There is no "if" no where. This is Arabic. So it should say : Then marry women of your choice, two, three, four AND THEN fear you cannot due justice between them, then one or what posses rightfully. This is the version in ARABIC. So it means MONOGAMY. What you possess rightfully, which is "ma malakat aymanukum" is synonymous to married because it says in 4:25 to MARRY what you possess rightfully of the female servant. Not slaves. Refer to فَتَاة which says a female servant in lane's lexicon. Simply type it in Arabic. As for the Hadith, notices that nisaa means "women". Not wives. Type in نِسَائِهِ and it says women in Bukhari 1 Vol 5 Num 282. Simply go into sunnah.com and go to Bukhari under "Bathing (Ghusl). In Arabic it says women Not wives. In every Hadith, it means women. Not wives. Zawj means husband and wife and azwaj is plural for husbands and wives. It means a "pair" of masculine and feminine and in context and it relates to spouse. Hence, husband and wife. See verse 2:25. So nisaa means women and Zawj/azwaj means husband and wife or husbands and wives. So in conclusion, the Qur'an and Hadith says monogamy, meaning one husband and wife. And Allah knows best

Every community has surplus number of females, who are widows, divorcees and girls who have passed the prime age and nearing menopause and some not so attractive. And nearly every female wants to have a family. How they can they have a family ?What is the solution for them? IF NOT POLYGAMY, THEN WHAT IS THE ALTERNATIVE?
Allah said: And you will never be able to be equal between wives, even if you should strive [to do so].} [Quran 4:129] Allah said Verily, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and he forbids immorality and bad conduct and transgression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded. Surat An-Nahl 16:90 And Allah says O you who believe, be persistently standing firm for Allah as witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just, for that is nearer to righteousness. Fear Allah, for Allah is aware of what you do. Surat Al-Ma’idah 5:8 “A man who has two wives and who is completely inclined to one and who ignores the other emerges with one side of his body paralysed in the Day of Judgment.” (Hadith; Ibn Majah, Nikah, 47; Mishkat al-masabih, 2/196) A woman does not consent to share her husband with another woman under normal circumstances, and no woman would like to marry a married man unless she has to. It is a necessity of belief that polygamy is right. However, to believe it does not necessarily mean for a woman to consent to the second wife and approve it. No believer father would like his son-in-law to marry a second, third or fourth woman along with his daughter. The jealous nature of the woman and the affection of the father for his daughter disapproves this. As a matter of fact, the daughter of our beloved Prophet, Sayyidah Fatima, objected to her husband, Ali’s marrying of a second woman. If it weren’t permissible to object, Sayyidah Fatima, who was brought up by our Prophet, would not have objected. The Messenger of Allah would have warned her and ordered her to consent to her husband’s wish. However, it did not take place like that. On the contrary, the Messenger of Allah, who saw that his daughter was worried, asked Ali to give up his wish and told him that if he did not give it up, he could marry another woman after divorcing Sayyidah Fatima. He did not consent to Ali’s second marriage to depress his daughter. By considering that act of the Messenger of Allah, it can be stated that Muslim daughters and fathers may object to the second marriage of their husband or son-in-law. "I heard Allah's Apostle who was on the pulpit, saying, 'Banu Hisham bin Al-Mughira have requested me to allow them to marry their daughter to Ali bin Abu Talib, but I don't give permission, and will not give permission unless 'Ali bin Abi Talib divorces my daughter in order to marry their daughter, because Fatima is a part of my body, and I hate what she hates to see, and what hurts her, hurts me.'" (Bukhari, No. 4887)
I don't know maybe providing for themselves instead of looking up to a man. Thanks to technology women are able to have children without male intervention so if she wants a family she can still have 1

Not for Lust ( so it is not for sex because that part might not even happened ( perhaps just a test of motive) so giving g a married man the benefit that he means good that should help the wife or wives that he is taking on a Job with lots of work

Prophet Mohammad was the only ancient Philosopher who dissected marriage using HIS GOD GIVEN WISDOM. Those days men lived upto age of about 50 years. Prophet Mohammad well knew that the chances of A marriage working was no more than one in ten in those times.So if man was allowed to marry 4 times he would have at least 40 percent chance of being happy on this earth after the fourth marriage. In present day and age the chance of marriage working is about one in A hundred in the EAST, & about one in A million in the WEST. Great actress Audrey Hepburn put her wisdom in one line "May be men & women were not made to live under the same roof ,they should live nearby & visit each other once in A while" MODERN SOLUTION--- Let some country in the middle east OR far east make A special City state on the oceanfront, called "Jannat" where all the rich & powerful men of this earth can move to--where A man could marry A million times if he has enough money & strength to do so. Let him be happy & let the rich trappings flow to the rest of the society.Educated Men with biggest palaces & Harems be chosen for city council/judges.Make value added sales tax high like 20% so that state can collect some wealth and spread that wealth to the common man workers.City state be located on the oceanfront OR be an island by itself but part of the country.MAKE beauty A GODLY CREATION & A VIRTUE OF HIGHEST ORDER & let them spend at the speed of light so that money spreads to the common man workers for social justice in the city state. Completely untrue the claim that swimming without clothes was ever permitted in public schools in the west. Islam is never promoted by stating untruth.
Firstly : Allah says in The Holy Qur'an : "...Marry who seems good to you from THE WOMEN two and three and four and if you feared that you cannot be just then only one..." 4:3 So, clearly we can see here that Allah commands us to marry two and three and four women and if we fear that we cannot be just then only one. This is the evidence for having four wives and no more. Secondly : There are hadith which inform us regarding Fatimah the daughter of The Prophet, Peace be upon him. Fatimah married Ali, Allah was pleased about them. The Prophet said "Banu Hisham bin Al-Mughira have asked permission in respect that they marry their daughter to Ali Ibn Abu Talib and I do not permit and then I do not permit and then I do not permit except if Ali Ibn Abu Talib wishes to divorce my daughter and marry their daughter and she is only a part of me it agitated me what agitated her it harms me what harmed her" (Rough translation) Sahih al-Bukhari 5230 So from this hadith we notice that if it agitates her or harms her it is not permitted to take a second, third or fourth wife. There are other hadith. The first wife can simply object by saying "No" I don't agree to polygamy or it could be obvious to the husband that she would be agitated or harmed by it so as to make it impermissible. Also from the verse of The Holy Quran above all wives must be treated with justice, if it is feared that cannot be done then only one. It is interesting to note that this becomes a mutual agreement between the first wife and her husband of subsequent wives and so on and not just a case of a man marrying four wives. This is due to having the consent of each wife for a subsequent wife or subsequent wives. Also as Allah has not permitted the woman to have four husbands and the wife has the right not to allow her husband four wives.
@@oladimejilateefat9633 that doesn’t change anything because Allah also permits muslim men to marry non Muslim women so if saying no to more wife’s is a sin then saying no to marrying a non Muslim woman is also a sin because you are basically denying her the opportunity to accept Islam. The truth is based on this Hadith a woman can say no to her husband.
@@oladimejilateefat9633 when did I say it’s not in Quran all am saying is people need to stop judging, shaming and using emotional blackmail on women who say no because it’s also a fact that the Prophet’s daughter who knows the Quran way better than most of us also wasn’t comfortable with the idea. People just expect all women to accept it and smilie because it’s in the Quran well it’s stated in the Quran as an option not a must so therefore a woman can also say no just as a man can say yes.

There are so many men of God who don’t want more than one wife and that’s okay because monogamy is also an option in Islam. @@JahannamHellfire thank you they never talk about the daughter of the prophet peace be upon him also saying no and the prophet accepted and supported her answer. Now if a woman says no she’s been shamed, then emotionally and religiously blackmailed into saying yes. Very few sheikhs actually speak in favour of women most only think about the men.
