Sorry, I don't really get it. I used the sustain pedal pretty much the whole song. I release the pedal when it need to be staccato or to have a clear sound(based on the original song). For switching between chords or notes, repeatedly release and depress is needed to avoid a harmony disaster. Hope this would be helpful. 🙂
